Addamo Doubles Up Early in Level 1

Level 1 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Michael Addamo
Michael Addamo

With around 11,500 already in the pot with the board reading {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}, Michael Addamo checked from the big blind over to Sirzat Hissou, who put in a bet of 10,000.

Addamo sat there in contemplation before going virtually all in, leaving a solitary T-500 chip behind.

Hissou took about 30 seconds before putting Addamo all in. Addamo flicked in his last chip and turned over {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for the wheel.

Hissou, who was left with just 1,000 after the hand, turned over {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for two pair having also turned a flush draw.

Ben Heath
Ben Heath

Seth Davies and Ben Heath were all in pre-flop with each player holding close to their original starting stack.

Ben Heath: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Seth Davies: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Heath was way ahead but the {10-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} put Davies firmly out in front.

The {5-Clubs} turn was no help to Heath as Davies had the bigger club.

The {7-Diamonds} completed the board and after the dealer counted out Davies' stack of 105,000, Heath admitted he was barely covered and left the tournament area.

Addamo Eliminates Watson and Seidel with Pocket Aces, Soars Over 700,000

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Mike Watson
Mike Watson

Erik Seidel opened to 6,000 and was called by both Joris Ruijs in the cutoff and Dan Smith on the button. Mike Watson virtually shoved, putting 126,000 of his roughly 145,000 chips into the middle. Tournament chip leader Michael Addamo, from the big blind, moved all in over the top. Seidel also put his 110,000 total into the middle while Ruijs and Smith got out of the way. Watson called for the rest.

Erik Seidel: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Mike Watson: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Michael Addamo: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

Addamo was crushing Watson and Seidel with his pocket aces, which held on the {8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} board to eliminate the duo while taking his massive stack to new heights.
