Bujtas Out Flops Petrangelo

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Laszlo Bujtas
Laszlo Bujtas

Nick Petrangelo opened from under the gun to 5,000 and only Laszlo Bujtas made the call next to act.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, Petrangelo bet out 4,000 and Bujtas made the call. On the {q-Clubs} turn, Petrangelo checked and Bujtas made it 8,000, which was called.

Both players checked on the {7-Spades} river and Petrangelo opened {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} for ace-high, while Bujtas rolled over {k-Spades}{9-Spades} for flopped middle pair, good enough to scoop the pot.

Soyza Holds to For Big Double

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

With 70,000 in the pot on the turn and the board showing {6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, Jean-Noel Thorel bet 50,000 and Michael Soyza shoved all in for around 120,000. Thorel called.

"I guess I'm on a draw," Soyza said as he turned over {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Thorel showed {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for two over cards and a flush draw. "I guess we're both on a draw," Soyza added.

The river brought the {2-Clubs} and Soyza doubled up to eclipse 300,000.

David Peters
David Peters

Shortly after doubling up Timothy Adams, David Peters shoved all in for 14,000 from early position, Adams re-shoved from the button, and the rest of the table got out of the way.

David Peters: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Timothy Adams: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Peters took the lead on the {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop with two pair and stayed ahead as the turn came the {6-Hearts}, but the river brought the {10-Spades} to give Adams a full house and send Peters to the rail.

Vogelsang Forces Out Soyza

Christoph Vogelsang raised to 4,500 from the under the gun and Michael Soyza, who had just taken his seat in the tournament, called on the button. Stephen Chidwick also called in the big blind and they went three-handed to a {3-Spades}{a-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop.

Action checked to Vogelsang, who fired out 5,000. Soyza came back with a raise to 15,000 that got rid of Chidwick, but Vogelsang stuck around to see the {4-Spades} on the turn.

Vogelsang checked to Soyza, who bet 21,000. Vogelsang called as the river fell the {q-Spades}.

Vogelsang this time led out for 50,500, leaving himself one red 5,000 chips behind, and Soyza folded.

Steve O'Dwyer

Christoph Vogelsang opened the action from under the gun and only Steve O'Dwyer made the call from the cutoff.

On the flop of {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{7-Diamonds} both players checked their options. The {6-Clubs} came on the turn and Vogelsang checked to O'Dwyer who bet 3,500. Vogelsang took a moment before check-raising to 17,000 and O'Dwyer made the call.

The {2-Clubs} completed the board and both players checked to a showdown. Vogelsang didn't want to show his hand but was first to open so instead mucked, and O'Dwyer won the pot without having to reveal his cards.
