Song Takes a Chunk From Straver

Johannes Straver raised to 120,000 in the hijack and was called by Daewoong Song in the big blind.

Song check-called a bet of 110,000 on the flop, then checked again on the turn.

After Straver bet 400,000, Song slid forward his stack of time bank cards as he expected to need some time for his decision. He cut down his roughly 1,400,000 chips and used nearly a minute of time before deciding on a call, leaving himself just over a million behind.

Song then checked the river and Straver quickly checked back.

Song showed for a running two pair and Straver mucked his hand.

Wilson on Fumes After Broadway vs Boat Collision

In a blind-versus-blind confrontation, Laszlo Molnar opened from the small blind and Andrew Wilson three-bet to 480,000 from the big blind. Molnar called.

The flop landed and Molar checked. Wilson bet 275,000 and Molnar called. Molnar checked again on the turn and Wilson sized up to 400,000. Molnar used through a time bank and called.

The river brought the and Molnar again checked. Wilson used a time bank before fired a third barrel of 645,000, which Molnar met with a snap-call.

Wilson proudly tabled for a Broadway straight, which he surely thought was good to win the pot. But Molnar then tabled for tens full of queens. Wilson had flopped the nut straight with a redraw to the nut flush but Molnar boated up on the turn to leave the Brit visibly flustered and riding fumes after the gut-wrenching cooler.

Wilson's luck may be turning around as he doubled up his nub of 175,000 through Stefan Schillhabel a few hands later when his held up against the of the German.

Lijo Tanks His Way to a Double

Rui Ferreira open-jammed in the small blind and Lander Lijo in the big blind informed him he would be calling off with his stack of about 600,000. Lijo then threw out a handful of time banks as he eyed the action at the other table.

"That's a lot of time banks!" said Ehsan Amiri. Lijo ended up calling after using through three of the time extensions.
