The day will begin at Level 23, with blinds of 10,000/25,000 and with a 25,000 ante. Play will consist of six 90-minute levels, with a 20-minute break after each level and a dinner break at the discretion of the tournament directors. A 30-second timer will be in use, with players getting replenished stashes of five time bank cards.

Defending champion Simon Brandstrom was just eliminated from one of the main feature tables.

According to tablemate Jack Salter, Brandstrom shoved his last 325,000 from the button and Bruno Pega called in the big blind. Brandstrom had {a-}{9-} but ran into the queens of Pega.

Brandstrom hit trips on the {a-}{a-}{k-} flop, but Pega spiked a {q-} on the turn to make a full house. The river didn't improve Brandstrom and he was sent to the rail.

Daniel Birkmose
Daniel Birkmose

Jimmy Guerrero opened to 65,000 from early position, Ramiro Petrone called in the hijack, and Daniel Birkmose moved all in for 735,000 on the button. Guerrero then committed his chips to the pot and Petrone went into the tank. He moved his time banks in front of him and put his hands on his head while deliberating, but ultimately, sent his cards into the muck.

Daniel Birkmose: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Jimmy Guerrero: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Birkmose was in rough shape as the table waited for the cameras to arrive. With everything set, the dealer spread the {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop to vault Birkmose way ahead with flopped quads as he made facial expressions of surprised joy. The {q-Diamonds} turn provided a sweat, but the {2-Diamonds} completed the board to confirm the Dane's double on the fortunate runout.

Andre Marques
Andre Marques

Jack Salter opened the action to 65,000 from the cutoff and only Andre Marques called in the big blind.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and both players checked their options. On the {6-Diamonds} turn Marques led out for 60,000 and after little thought, Salter announced a raise to 195,000.

Marques took some time before moving all in for 615,000 total and Salter went deep in the tank. After using several time bank cards, Salter made the call and the cards were shown.

Andre Marques: {4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Jack Salter: {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Salter needed to fade an eight, three or diamond to scoop the pot and eliminate Marques. The river fell the {q-Spades} and Salter won the hand with a pair of tens, sending Marques to the rail in 47th place.

Noah Boeken
Noah Boeken

On a {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop, Noah Boeken ended up getting the rest of his approximately 480,000 chips in from the big blind against Patrik Jaros in middle position.

Noah Boeken: {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Patrik Jaros: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Boeken's top pair needed to improve against the cowboys as the {j-Spades} turn left him with even fewer outs. The {3-Spades} completed the board and the Dutchman made his exit, while Jaros added to his chip lead.

"Running good bro," Giuliano Bendinelli noted. "What the f---!"

"It's important, actually," Jaros replied.

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Carlos Ribeiro
Carlos Ribeiro

Carlos Ribeiro raised to 65,000 from the cutoff before Michael Pinto reraised to 200,000 on the button. Ribeiro called and they went heads-up to a {a-Hearts}{7-Spades}{k-Diamonds} flop.

Both players checked to the {j-Spades} turn, when Pinto bet another 260,000. Ribeiro called and the {8-Clubs} fell on the river.

Ribeiro checked once more and Pinto pushed forward a massive tower of chips, a bet totaling 1,550,000. Ribeiro, with around 1,300,000 behind, went into the tank as he used three time bank cards.

"Call," he eventually announced, but he let out a loud groan and shot back in his seat when Pinto showed him {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} for a set of kings. Ribeiro turned over {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}.

"I knew you had jacks. That's why I shoved," Pinto said as Ribeiro made his exit.
