Nouira Semi-Bluffs, Can't Get There

Level 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Giacomo Lerpe raised it up on the button and Maher Nouira defended from the big blind. The flop came {j-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Nouira check-called a bet from Lerpe.

The turn brought the {8-Spades} and Nouira checked again. Lerpe sized up a bet of 20,000 this time and Nouira check-raised all in for a little over 45,000. Lerpe made the call and tabled {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} which was ahead of Nouira's {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}.

The river was the {2-Hearts} and Nouira was unable to come from behind as he was eliminated from the tournament.

Hissou Spikes an Ace to Eliminate Comeron

Level 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

After a couple of preflop raises, Sirzat Hissou and David Comeron got all of their chips in the middle preflop. Both players had similar stacks but it was Comeron who held a distinct preflop advantage.

David Comeron: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Sirzat Hissou: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The dealer fanned the flop of {a-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} with the ace right in the window to put Hissou in a commanding position. The {5-Clubs} on the turn and the {2-Clubs} on the river were no help to Comeron who was eliminated. Comeron started the hand with 78,000 and Hissou barely had him covered with 79,500.

Scafini Dashes Vadella's Hopes of a Comeback

Level 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Lucas Scafini raised it up from early position and was called by a player a couple of seats over. Bernard Vadella moved all in for a little over 35,000 on the button and Scafini was the only player to give him action.

Bernard Vadella: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
Lucas Scafini: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

The flop came {k-Clubs}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Scafini pulled out front after hitting a pair of kings. However, the {5-Spades} on the turn gave Vadella a full house, leaving Scafini drawing slim.

It wasn't slim enough though as Scafini nailed the {k-Diamonds} on the river to make a bigger full house. Vadella was left shocked as he sat in his seat for a couple of moments before finally heading to the exit.

Tafer Moves In on the River

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Efim Dorfman raised it up to 6,000 in middle position and was called by Mehdi Tafer in the cutoff. The two players went heads-up to a flop of {j-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Dorfman led out with a bet of 5,000. Tafer called and the {j-Clubs} paired the board on the turn.

Dorfman quickly checked this time and Tafer checked it back to see the {6-Clubs} on the river. Dorfman played with his chips before finally settling on a bet of 15,000. Tafer jammed all in for 45,500 and Dorfman dumped his cards to the muck.
