Volkov Cracks Aces

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Ruslan Volkov raised from under the gun and the action folded to Johannes Verhagen in the big blind who pushed all in for around 40,000. Volkov quickly called and the cards were tabled.

Johannes Verhagen: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Ruslan Volkov: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

"That's good for you," Volkov pointed out.

"I lost with aces already today," Verhagen noted.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Volkov picked up a flush draw. The {k-Clubs} on the turn gave him a couple of more outs and it was the {j-Hearts} on the river that sent Verhagen packing for the second time today holding aces.

Grigoryan Gets the Best of Shahade Again

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

At the end of the previous level, there was a raise to 5,000 in early position. Jen Shahade three-bet to 13,000 in the hijack and Hrayr Grigoryan four-bet shoved all in for 72,400 on the button. The action folded back to Shahade who gave it some thought before making the call.

Hrayr Grigoryan: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Jen Shahade: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Grigoryan had the best of it this time with pocket kings and the flop of {q-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} was safe for him. The {9-Clubs} on the turn and the {4-Clubs} on the river was no help to Shahade who passed over another double up in their rematch.

Duta Puts Pressure on Antonana

Level 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Jon Antonana opened to 5,000 in early position and Florian Duta re-raised to 14,000 in the cutoff. The action folded back to Antonana who called to see a flop of {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

Antonana checked to Duta who continued with a bet of 10,000 and Antonana called. The turn brought the {3-Diamonds} and Antonana quickly checked again. Duta slid out a stack of 5,000 chips and Antonana was forced to lay his hand down.

Shahade Can't Catch with Big Slick

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Jennifer Shahade

Richard Saul opened to 4,000 in early position and Jen Shahade shoved all in on the button, covering the stacks of the remaining players. Hrayr Grigoryan thought for a minute and then called off his stack of 40,400 from the big blind, which got a fold from Saul.

Hrayr Grigoryan: {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Jen Shahade: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

It was a coin flip and the flop of {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades} left Grigoryan in the lead with his pair of sixes. The {9-Clubs} and {9-Spades} runout missed Shahade as well as she sent a double up across the table.

Better Kicker for Cuomo

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Omar Lakhdari raised to 3,000 from the cutoff and was called by Lucas Scafini on the button and Daniele Cuomo in the small blind. The flop came {10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts} and the action checked to Scafini who bet 5,000. Cuomo called and Lakhdari quickly folded.

The turn brought the {4-Spades} and Cuomo check-called a bet of 13,000 from Scafini. The {3-Diamonds} completed the board and Cuomo led out with a bet of 21,500 this time. Scafini called and Cuomo turned over {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Scafini also showed a ten but his kicker was not good enough as it went into the muck.
