Kolkowicz Takes From Davies

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With 17,000 in the pot and {k-Spades}{2-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{7-Spades} on the board, Seth Davies checked and Michael Kolkowicz bet 9,600. Davies called and the river was {10-Clubs}. Both players checked the river and turned over their cards.

Davies had {a-Spades}{4-Spades} for a pair of fours, but Kolkowicz turned over {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} to take the pot with a pair of kings.

Seire Jams Into Kaverman

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With a main pot of around 13,500 to the {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{6-Spades} flop and bets of 3,000 as well as 10,500 pulled into the middle to the {k-Hearts} turn and {7-Spades} river, the action was picked up with a check by Byron Kaverman in late position. Casimir Seire on the button pushed all-in for 28,000 and had the slightly covering stack.

Kaverman went deep into the tank but none of the other players on the table called the clock. Ultimately, Kaverman released his cards into the muck and dropped below the starting stack while Seire won the pot to move above the average.

Schemion Hero-Calls Correctly

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

In a limped pot in a battle of the blinds, the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop went check, check, between Alexandre Reard and Ole Schemion. Reard then bet the {k-Spades} turn for 1,000 and Schemion called.

The {8-Clubs} river was bet by Reard once more for 2,600 and Schemion with a short stack of 8,600 behind eventually called. Reard exposed the {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for air and Schemion won the urgently needed pot holding the {q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

Chip and a Chair for Gumz

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

On the tail end of a medium-sized pot between Fabian Gumz and Tsugunari Toma, the former bet 21,700 with a single chip behind on the {j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} river. Toma, no longer the biggest stack on the table, tanked for a while and then made the call.

Gumz confidently rolled over his {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and that ended up second-best to the {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} of Toma.

"So confident," another player at the table remarked and Gumz replied "it looked like a flush to me". The German has one single chip behind for a miracle comeback.

Short Stack Double for Heath

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Ben Heath was all-in for just 10,600 and he was looked up by the initial raiser Tim Klaversma, who had the undercards in {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Heath was ahead with the {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and had little to fear on the {j-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} board as Klaversma missed a gutshot.
