Faraut Spikes a Fortunate Double

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Patrick Faraut was eliminated on table one to then re-enter and get the same table but different seat. Right before the end of the level, he got his shorter stack of around 15,500 in preflop and was dominated by Luciano De Hollanda.

Patrick Faraut: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Luciano De Hollanda: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

The {10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop was of no help but Faraut spiked the two outer on the {8-Diamonds} turn, then held on the blank {2-Clubs} river in order to secure the double-up.

Yotsushika Takes Small Pot Off Saliba

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Kazuhiko Yotsushika opened the action with a raise to 1,300 and he was called by Pedro Marques in the cutoff. Justin Saliba three-bet to 4,500 on the button and Yotsushika called while Marques got out of the way.

The {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop was checked and the {k-Clubs} followed on the turn. Yotsushika now bet 5,000 and Saliba quickly folded.

Hallay Beats Schemion in Showdown

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Axel Hallay was spotted with a check from the under-the-gun position on the {j-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{a-Hearts} turn and he then faced a bet worth 8,500 by Ole Schemion in the cutoff, which he called.

The {j-Clubs} on the river was checked behind by Schemion, who asked if his opponent had a jack. Hallay flipped over the {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and that was good enough to win the pot.

Quoss Calls for It All

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

With 20,000 in the pot and a full board of {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, Sylvain Loosli shoved from early position with Fabian Quoss covered. Quoss went deep into the tank and counted out his chips before he committed his last 17,500.

Loosli turned over {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for a set of deuces, while Quoss flashed a hand that contained an {a-} and tossed it in the muck before gathering his things to leave.

Loosli is nearing the 100K mark as the tournament approaches the dinner break.

Dzivielevski Gets Some Value Off Heath

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Yuri Dzivielevski and Ben Heath usually battle in the High Rollers but they can be found on the same table in the EPT Main Event this time. Both got involved in a pot just now that showed a board of {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}.

Dzivielevski tossed in a single T-5,000 chip for a bet and Heath paid it off after some consideration. The Brazilian tabled the {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and that was good enough to win the pot.

Sellam Eliminated by Marchetti

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Heads-up to the {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{4-Clubs} turn, Rubens Sellam bet 5,500 out of the blinds and was called by Luca Marchetti for them to see the {a-Clubs} on the river. Sellam bet another 5,000 with two times as many chips behind.

Marchetti pushed all-in with the covering stack and Sellam instantly called to reveal the {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}. However, Marchetti had that beat with the {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for a full house and that sent Sellam to the rail.

"He only called preflop," Jessica Teusl said and referred to her table neighbour Sellam, who left the table moments later.

Mitchell Spikes River to Eliminate Tolppanen

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Victoria Coren Mitchell
Victoria Coren Mitchell

With 27,000 in the pot and {8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{4-Clubs} on the board, Victoria Coren Mitchell checked and Dan Tolppanen shoved his last 15,200. After taking a moment to consider her options, Mitchell tossed in the chips to call and the cards were turned up.

Dan Tolppanen: {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Victoria Coren Mitchell: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Tolppanen had a set of fours and the big lead, but the turn {8-Diamonds} and river {8-Spades} brought a better full house with eights full of nines and Tolppanen was eliminated on the unlucky runout.

Rotundo Eliminated by Nikolaev

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Mikhail Nikolaev
Mikhail Nikolaev

There were 2,000 chips in front of Mikhail Nikolaev in the cutoff and Christian Rotundo then moved all-in for 9,300 in the small blind. Jason Wheatley called in late position and Nikolaev made it three ways to the {q-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop.

Wheatley checked and Nikolaev bet 15,000 to isolate successfully.

Christian Rotundo: {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Mikhail Nikolaev: {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The {6-Spades} turn and {3-Clubs} river brought no help to Rotundo and he was eliminated.

"You call 10k preflop with that? You are a very lucky guy," Wheatley said in table chat to which Nikolaev replied "good flop" while raking in the chips.
