Marques Calls River Raise From Ivanov

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Action was heads-up with just over 4,000 in the pot and a full board of [9jqdjh7dkh] when Pedro Marques bet 3,200 from the small blind. Lyudmil Ivanov raised to 11,500 and Marques leaned back to think about it. After a few minutes of thought, Marques announced a call and the cards were turned up.

Ivanov turned over {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for the flush and dragged the pot while Marques tossed the losing hand in the muck.

Alt Chips Up Further

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Dinesh Alt had won a larger pot off Noah Novick not long ago when his {j-Clubs}{7-Clubs} made a flush, to which Novick mucked with the words "well done". Clemente Malheiro Carreira was then eliminated on the same table to put Alt into the single big blind. Joost Hollak raised to 1,200 and Alt came along to check on the {k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop and {4-Diamonds} turn. He bet the {8-Hearts} river for 1,700 and Hollak called but mucked when Alt turned over {j-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

Therme Calls for the Rest of It

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Jonathan Therme
Jonathan Therme

Action was heads-up with nearly 60,000 in the pot and a full board of {q-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} while Jonathan Therme was deep in the tank after Rocco Palumbo shoved from under the gun with him covered. After several minutes, Therme emerged from the tank with a call and the cards were turned up.

Therme turned over {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for queens and deuces, but Palumbo had {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for queens full of deuces to take the pot and eliminate Therme while moving near the 200,000 mark.

Kraous Doubles Through Lilamand

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Thomas Lilamand squeezed to 4,700 out of the blinds and then called the shove by Anton Kraous to set up the following all-in showdown.

Anton Kraous: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Thomas Lilamand: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

It was the most classic of flips and Kraous remained ahead throughout the {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs} board to pull ahead of Lilamand as he doubled for 21,000.

Gandini Flipped Out by Chetrit

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Italy's Filippo Gandini was all-in for what appeared to be around 16,000 and he was flipping for his tournament life against Michael Chetrit.

Filippo Gandini: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Michael Chetrit: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The {10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop left Gandini on very thin ice and it was all over after the {q-Hearts} turn, which made the {q-Spades} river a formality.

Osti Takes From Rouayroux

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Action was three ways with 8,000 in the pot and a full board of {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Xavier Rouayroux checked from the big blind and Romain Lewis checked from under the gun before Mercedes Osti bet 6,000 from the next seat over. Rouayroux called and Lewis got out of the way.

Osti turned over {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} for sevens full of aces to take the pot while Rouayroux tossed the losing hand in the muck.

Boi Bows Out to Motte

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Paolo Boi got it in from under the gun for the last 6,500 and was called by Fabien Motte from two seats over and Virgile Turchi on the button. They checked to the {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} river on which Motte bet and Turchi folded.

Boi exposed the {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} but Motte had the best of it with the {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the nut flush.

"If you had bet the flop, I had called," Motte said in table chat to Turchi.

De Almeida Denied a Double

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Guillaume Diaz raised and then called the short stack all-in by Daniel De Almeida as the following cards were exposed.

Daniel De Almeida: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Guillaume Diaz: {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

There was no suckout for Diaz but De Almeida had to settle for a chop as the {j-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{a-Hearts} board delivered a flush to both.

Kyte Still Among the Big Stacks

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Three ways to the {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} river, the action checked to Jon Kyte and he bet 10,000. Kenny Hallaert in late position had exactly that amount behind and reluctantly folded, the third player in the hand also let go.

The pot was shipped to Kyte, who moved up to four times the starting stack as one of the biggest stacks in the Palmiers Room.
