Rezaei in the Danger Zone

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

In a preflop contest, it was Japan's Hayato Kitajima who ended up as the player at risk for a mere 13,200. He faced 2021 EPT Prague Main Event final tablist Armin Rezaei in the following showdown.

Hayato Kitajima: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Armin Rezaei: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{4-Spades} board kept the superior pocket pair in the lead and Rezaei was reduced to a mere 4,200, which he doubled shortly thereafter.

Malaurie Doubles Through Zarbo

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

On a flop of {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{8-Spades}, the remaining 36,400 of Christophe Malaurie ended up in the middle and he was looked up by [Removed:511] from two seats over in the cutoff.

Christophe Malaurie: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
[Removed:511]: {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

The bare top pair of Zarbo had very little equity and his stack was cut in half once the {7-Diamonds} turn and {3-Hearts} river completed the board.

Ganaye Among Recent Eliminations

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Sebastien Ganaye was already all-in preflop and four opponents stuck around. They checked to the {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{9-Clubs} turn on which Michael Rodrigues in the small blind check-called a bet worth 3,600 by Bennani Chakib on the button. Both active players checked the {3-Spades} river and Rodrigues revealed the {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for a king-high straight.

That ended up as the winning hand for the main and side pot as Ganaye's {10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and the {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} of Chakib were no good.

In the meanwhile, the seats formerly taken by Melika Razavi and Tom-Aksel Bedell in the Salle des Etoiles are empty and both have been eliminated as well.

Small Showdown Pot for Kuzmanovic Against Di Giacomo

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Claudio Di Giacomo opened the action with a raise to 1,700 in the cutoff and was called by Boris Kuzmanovic in the big blind. The {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop was checked by Kuzmanovic, who then called a bet worth 1,500 by Di Giacomo. Both opted to check the {2-Clubs} turn and Kuzmanovic led the {2-Hearts} river for 1,800.

Di Giacomo called and mucked once he was shown the {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades} but it was only a very minor dent into the big stack of the Italian.

Short Stack Double For Seidel

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Erik Seidel pushed all-in for the last 4,800 from an early position and the action folded all the way to Jack O'Neill in the big blind, who made the call by using a single chip.

Erik Seidel: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Jack O'Neill: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}

The {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Spades} flop paired up Seidel and he retained the lead throughout the {6-Diamonds} turn and {8-Clubs} river.
