Calamusa Shows Sfez a Bluff

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

On a completed board of {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{10-Spades}, Lucas Sfez bet 19,000 out of the small blind. He was then put to the test by Pierre Calamusa in the cutoff, who raised it up to 70,000.

Sfez was stunned for a while and pondered about his next move before eventually folding. Calamusa flashed the {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} for a bluff and then asked in French if Sfez had folded a jack. "No, I had a straight with eight seven," Sfez replied.

Gamboa Doubles Through Spragg

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Just before the first break of the day, Benjamin Spragg defended the big blind and then bet big on the {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} turn. Quilcate Gamboa reluctantly called all-in for the last 33,000 and the cards were flipped over.

Quilcate Gamboa: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}
Benjamin Spragg: {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}

"Excuse me?!" a rather upset Spragg said as he was up against the top set. The {q-Clubs} river secured the double for Gamboa and vaulted both players on nearly the same stack.

Royal Flush for Regonaschi Gets Paid Off

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

On the river of a {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{2-Spades}{k-Hearts} board, Nicolas Vayssieres bet 5,000 and Marco Regonaschi then raised to 42,500. Vayssieres tanked for a while and eventually called.

Regonaschi announced a royal flush and tabled the {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} to won the pot. He has a very healthy stack now, though Hassan Fares on the same table boasts even more chips.

Naveiro Martin Doubles Through Abdelmoumene

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Karim Abdelmoumene three-bet to 12,000 out of the small blind and then reluctantly called the shove by the initial raiser Inigo Naveiro Martin for 42,000 total.

Inigo Naveiro Martin: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Karim Abdelmoumene: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The dominated pair had no equity anymore until the {7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{q-Hearts} turn to make the {j-Diamonds} river a formality.

Van Rooij Puts Tsokaridis in the Tank

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

A flop of {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} was spread across the felt and Merijn van Rooij had a bet of 4,500 in front of him on the button. Paraskevas Tsokaridis check-raised to 12,000 in middle position and van Rooij called.

The turn was the {4-Spades} and both players checked to the {j-Diamonds} on the river. Tsokaridis checked again and van Rooij shoved all in, putting Tsokaridis to the test for his remaining 31,000 chips. After nearly four minutes, Tsokaridis finally let his hand go and van Rooij was awarded the pot.

Beresford Chips Up Through Colillas

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

In a battle small blind versus button, Ramon Colillas checked the {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop and Conor Beresford bet 12,000 for Colillas to call. The same action repeated on the {10-Spades} turn for 36,000 and Colillas then led the {6-Clubs} river for 22,000.

Beresford was visibly confused by the line but eventually dropped in calling chips after some consideration. Colillas mucked his cards to forfeit the pot and Beresford earned the pot without the need to show his cards.
