Cervantes Wins Three-Way All-In to Dent Lovgren and Eliminate Bremseth

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Jaime Cervantes
Jaime Cervantes

Terje Bremseth shoved for 123,000 in early position, Jaime Cervantes reshoved for 255,000 in the hijack, and Sofia Lovgren called in the big blind.

Terje Bremseth: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Jaime Cervantes: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Sofia Lovgren: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop gave Cervantes top set to stay ahead of Bremseth's bottom set, while Lovgren now needed to complete her Broadway draw. The {a-Spades} turn changed nothing and Lovgren was hoping for the ten, but the {7-Diamonds} completed the board to secure the sizable pot for Cervantes, while Bremseth was eliminated.

Time Runs Out for Diaz

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Action was heads-up with {4-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{j-Clubs} on the board and over 200,000 in the pot and Guillaume Diaz was all but committed to the pot with only 3,000 remaining on the button. Didrik Mantor checked from middle position and Diaz tossed in his last 3,000 and Mantor called.

Guillaume Diaz: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Didrik Mantor: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

Mantor was way ahead with aces and jacks when the turn came {3-Diamonds} for no help. The river was {5-Hearts} and Mantor held on with two pair to eliminate Diaz from the tournament.

Atoui No More; Tantillo and Simoes Lead the Way

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Several players gasped and Kamel Atoui grabbed his smart phone to take a picture of what happened as it was the French-Moroccan who was sent to the payout desk.

Atoui was all-in with the {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Alexis Nicolai had him slightly covered with the {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. The {a-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop gave Atoui the middle set and he retained the lead on the {k-Spades} turn. However, the river brought the {a-Clubs} and Nicolai improved to the superior full house. Both stacks were counted and Nicolai's 206,000 covered.

In the meanwhile, Fausto Tantillo knocked out Artem Kasidin and Marcelo Simoes then won a showdown pot against Nicola Grieco with queen-jack to further increase his already massive stack.

Baumann Bows Out

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Gaelle Baumann
Gaelle Baumann

Over at the featured table, Morten Hvam opened to 17,000 from under the gun and Gaelle Baumann defended the big blind.

The dealer spread the {k-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop and Baumann check-raised a bet of 13,000 up to 36,000. Hvam then raised enough chips to cover Baumann, and Baumann called for her 118,000.

Gaelle Baumann: {k-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Morten Hvam: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Baumann needed to improve with her inferior kicker, but the {10-Hearts} and {a-Clubs} completed the board to send her to the rail.

Rotundo Eliminated by Romero

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Ariel Sebban opened to 16,000 under the gun, Alejandro Romero three-bet to 52,000 in the hijack, and Christian Rotundo cold four-bet jammed for 260,000 in the small blind. Sebban folded and Romero quickly called.

Christian Rotundo: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}
Alejandro Romero: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

Rotundo ran into aces and the {j-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop left him needing running cards. The {9-Clubs} turn gave a glimmer of hope, but the {8-Hearts} completed the board to keep the rockets in front as Romero tapped the table and celebrated quietly.

A count confirmed Rotundo was covered by less than one big blind, and he made his exit from the table.

Kamel Atoui: {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Atoui flopped an ace but Muradov made tens full of threes on the river to secure the come from behind double.

Mantor Triples While Kuzmanovic Busts to Sfez

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Boris Kuzmanovic raised to 17,000 and the call by Eric Sfez from one seat over followed. Didrik Mantor then three-bet off a short stack with very few chips behind and faced the all-ins of Kuzmanovic for more than half a million and reshove by Sfez thereafter. Mantor shrugged and called it off for his last 76,000.

Didrik Mantor: {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Boris Kuzmanovic: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Eric Sfez: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

"Oh wow, best case scenario," Mantor said and then flopped a set on {10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. The {j-Spades} turn gave both his opponent straight draws but the {7-Hearts} river ensured the triple up for the Norwegian. Kuzmanovic was covered by Sfez and headed to the rail.

Kagawa Doubles; Lovgren Survives

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

On the tail end of a bigger pot between Rintaro Kagawa and Shyngis Satubayev, the completed board showed {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}.

Kagawa pushed for 122,000 and Satubayev flicked in a call eventually to get shown the {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} by the Japanese. He tried to muck his cards but as per all-in showdown rule, Satubayev's {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} were exposed.

There was another all-in showdown soon after in which Sofia Lovgren was at risk for 236,000 with pocket jacks. Fabien Motte had that crushed with pocket aces but a jack appeared on the river.
