Showdown Pot for Nevanlinna; Magliocco Gets Short

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Yannick Cardot raised to 80,000 in the cutoff and was called by Francky Magliocco in the small blind and Jussi Nevanlinna in the big blind. The {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} flop was checked to Cardot and he bet 40,000. Magliocco check-raised to 150,000 and Nevanlinna stuck around while Cardot folded.

The {k-Hearts} turn and {3-Clubs} river were checked and Magliocco tabled the {q-Spades}{10-Clubs} for a missed gutshot, which Nevanlinna had beat with the {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}.

Colillas Folds Trips Against Pingray's Flush

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

[Removed:510] opened to 80,000 from early position, Ramon Colillas called in the cutoff, and Hugo Pingray defended the big blind.

The flop fell {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and action checked to Colillas who bet 110,000. Only Pingray continued.

The {q-Hearts} turn hit both players by improving Colillas to trips, but also putting Pingray ahead with a flush. Pingray checked, Colillas bet 225,000, and Pingray jammed to put Colillas to the test.

Colillas had 860,000 behind and used a couple of time extension before deciding to send his cards into the muck, and Pingray chipped up.

Cardot Shows a Bluff

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

In the last hand before the break on the outer table, Erkan Soenmez raised from under the gun and bet the {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop for Yannick Cardot to check-call in the big blind. The {8-Hearts} turn was checked and Cardot also checked the {6-Hearts} on the river.

Soenmez bet 175,000 only for Cardot to check-raise, making it 550,000 to go. The fold by Soenmez followed as he exposed {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and he then told Cardot to show the bluff but already turned around to go into the break. As the German was already out of his chair and on the way out of the Salle des Etoiles, Cardot obliged and flashed {k-Diamonds}{5-Spades}.

All remaining 12 players are now on a scheduled 20-minute break.

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Yannick Cardot opened to 65,000 and was called two ways to see a flop of {q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, on which the action checked to the Frenchman. He bet 70,000 and Jussi Nevanlinna called in the small blind while Alejandro Romero folded in the big blind.

Marcelo Simoes opened with a raise to 60,000 from the button and Nariman Yaghmai three-bet to 180,000 from the big blind. Simoes called and the flop was {q-Clubs}{3-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

Yaghmai bet 155,000 on the flop and Simoes raised to 425,000. Yaghmai called and the turn was {4-Hearts}.

Yaghmai checked the turn and Simoes put out two stacks of T-25,000 chips out for a total of 1,000,000 and Yaghmai went into the tank.

After using three time banks, Yaghmai committed the rest of his 1,675,000 and Simoes called quickly with just a little bit more. Simoes turned over {q-Hearts}{9-Spades} for queens and nines and Yaghmai had {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}.

The river was {8-Spades}, with no help for Yaghmai, and his aces were cracked to eliminate him from the tournament in 14th place for €46,890.
