Ladva Bets Big on the River

Action was heads up with 9♠A♠2♥ on the board when Lei Yu checked and Ottomar Ladva bet 23,000. Yu called and the turn was 10♦.

Yu checked again and called when Ladva put out 60,000 to see A♣ on the river.

A third check from Yu sent Ladva into the tank to use a time bank. He emerged with a bet of 157,000 and that was good enough to get Yu to fold.

Mokri Wakes Up With a Hand

Adams Gives Up on the River

Felipe Ketzer raised to 35,000 from under the gun and action folded around to big blind Timothy Adams, who called to go heads-up to the 10♥5♠4♦ flop.

Ketzer continued for 15,000 and Adams used up nearly his entire shot clock before calling. The turn came the K♣ and Ketzer bet another 32,000.

Adams again used his entire 30 seconds before putting in the chips to call as they saw the 6♦ fall on the river. Ketzer this time used a time bank before betting 255,000.

Adams mucked his hand as Ketzer widened his already massive chip lead over the rest of the table.

A few hands later, Mokri limped in from the small blind and Lei Yu checked his option in the big blind. The flop was 8♣9♥10♥ and Mokri checked. Yu fired 17,000 and Mokri called to see 9♠ on the turn. Mokri checked again but this time he folded when Yu bet 28,000.

Action has been otherwise tentative as the players jockey for position for the approaching stone bubble.
