Sydenstricker's Winning Streak Comes to an End
Level 33
: Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Simon Wiciak raised to 500,000 under the gun with A♥10♣ and, for the third time so far at the final table, received a call by Joao Sydenstricker holding 9♠9♣ in early position.
Both players checked the 7♣10♠8♦ flop before Wiciak led out for 1,150,000 on the 2♣ turn with his pair of tens.
Sydenstricker called with his nines and straight draw but missed the 8♣ river and both players checked, Wiciak finally taking a pot off his Brazilian nemesis.
