Wiciak, Sydenstricker Duel With Ace-High
Level 34
: Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Action folded to Simon Wiciak in the small blind who limped in with A♦6♠. Joao Sydenstricker then raised to 1,200,000 with A♥Q♦ and Wiciak called.
The flop came 9♦5♠9♣ and Sydenstricker continued for 650,000. Wiciak called and both players checked the 8♦ turn.
Wiciak led out for 2,500,000 on the 10♣ river and Sydenstricker used a time bank before mucking. "Show the bluff," Wiciak's rail yelled, and he slammed down his ace-high as he took the pot.
