Wheeler Makes the Right Call to Bust Lage Cuinas
Level 14
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Jason Wheeler and Sergio Lage Cuinas built a pot of around 50,000 heading to the river with the board showing 5♠9♣J♠9♠10♥ when Wheeler, in the big blind, led out for 25,000.
Lage Cuinas then moved all in for 54,000 from middle position, sending Wheeler deep into the tank. "Do you have jacks," Wheeler wondered as he leaned over the table, giving the decision considerable attention before throwing in the chips to call.
Lage Cuinas shook his head and showed K♥K♣, while Wheeler turned over A♠3♠ for a flush to send Lage Cuinas to the rail.
