Wiciak Scores a Double Knockout

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Simon Wiciak
Simon Wiciak

Charalampos Charalampous was already all in as Simon Wiciak and Ali Al-Kubasi went to the turn on a board of 58K6 and around 15,000 in the pot.

Wiciak then bet 11,000 from the button and Al-Kubasi called in the big blind. The river came the J and Wiciak moved all in.

Al-Kubasi quickly called for around 35,000 and Wiciak turned over 55 for a flopped set. Al-Kubasi could only show 98, while Charalampous flashed AK before joining Al-Kubasi on the rail as the EPT Barcelona Main Event champion raked in the massive pot.
