A 30,000 pot had been brewed between Anton Wigg and Simone Andrian. Andrian checked from the big blind on the 7♣7♠Q♥A♥ board and Wigg followed suit from the button.
The 2♥ river then completed the board and Andrian made a minimum bet of 3,000 chips. Wigg looked him up, but mucked his cards once he saw the Q♣8♦ of his opponent.
Gary Miller opened to 6,000 from middle position before Fabio Peluso made it 18,500 from the button. Orhan Ates flat-called from the small blind, prompting Miller to four-bet to 78,000. Peluso folded but Ates jammed for 144,000 and Miller quickly called.
Orhan Ates: Q♦Q♣
Gary Miller: A♠K♥
Ates remained ahead on the J♣10♣4♥ flop but the A♥ turn had him drawing to two outs. The 8♣ river was not what he wanted and was eliminated.
Shuang Luo open-raised from under the gun and was faced with a three-bet to 18,000 from Metin Yalciner in the next seat over. The action folded back to Luo, who put out a four-bet of 56,000, which Yalciner eventually called.
The flop of 8♠8♥9♥ then saw Luo make a continuation-bet of 41,000 and Yalciner matched the bet. On the 8♦ turn, Luo inquired after her opponent's stack, which was 90,500. She then went all in with the covering stack and Yalciner snap-called.
Metin Yalciner: A♦A♣
Shuang Luo: 2♦2♣
"I think you win," Luo claimed. She was right, as the A♥ river upgraded Yalciner to a full house. He raked in a massive pot and obtained a big stack with the bubble fast approaching.
Action folded to Anton Wigg in the small blind who raised to 10,000. Alejandro Lococo then moved all in for 55,000 in the big blind and Wigg snap-called.
Alejandro Lococo: K♦10♣
Anton Wigg: Q♠Q♦
Lococo had run into queens and was at serious risk of falling short of the money as the flop came 10♦J♦3♠, giving him some hope with a pair of tens. The 7♥ turn was no help, and neither was the 6♣ river as the Team PokerStars Pro made a quick exit from the tournament area less than 10 spots from the money bubble.
Ankit Ahuja opened to 6,500 from middle position but was facing an all in three-bet from Simeon Spasov, who moved his stack of 52,000 chips into the middle from the big blind. Ahuja took a few minutes before making the call.
Simeon Spasov: A♠J♠
Ankit Ahuja: A♦10♦
Spasov remained ahead after the 3♠7♣2♠ flop and the 7♠ turn completed his flush to lock up the hand. The 4♠ river completed the board, as Ahuja slid his chips to the right.
Four players saw a flop of 8♣Q♠3♦ where Fabrice Bigot bet 9,000 in the cutoff. Simon Wiciak called on the button, as did big blind Halil Tasyurek.
The turn came the 4♣ and action checked to Wiciak, who fired out 25,000. Both Tasyurek and Bigot quickly gave up their hands.
The next hand, Bigot raised to 6,000 before Wiciak three-bet to 25,000. Jon Vallinas in the big blind tanked for a minute before mucking, while Bigot snap-folded as Wiciak took down another pot.
