Nikita Kuznetsov open-jammed in the small blind and Gerard Carbo called off in the big blind with a stack of 870,000.
Gerard Carbo: A♦K♣
Nikita Kuznetsov: Q♦10♥
Gerard Carbo
Carbo's ace-high was still ahead on the 8♠4♠J♥ flop, and the A♥ turn improved him to top pair while also giving Kuznetsov a double gutter. The river then landed the K♠ river to give Kuznetsov the runner-runner straight to mark Carbo's elimination.
Halil Tasyurek opened to 160,000 from the hijack and received calls from [Removed:553] on the button, Priit Parmasto in the small blind and Bjorn Kozenkai in the big blind.
All four players checked the A♠Q♣2♠ flop leading to the J♥ turn. Parmasto checked, Kozenkai checked, Tasyurek bet 250,000, Simon called, Parmasto folded and Kozenkai folded.
On the 7♥ river Tasyurek sized up with a bet of 1,000,000. Simon made the call.
Tasyurek tabled K♦10♦ for the nut-straight and Simon was forced to muck, accidentally revealing the Q♠ in his hand while doing so.
[Removed:553] opened to 185,000 first to act and was called by Priit Parmasto on his direct left. The flop and turn checked through to the river for the final board to read A♦K♥10♠5♠J♠. Simon bet 90,000 and was called.
Simon tabled A♠7♠ for the nut flush. Parmasto laughed upon seeing Simon's cards and showed he had called light with his 6♣6♠.
"Max value, I guess," laughed Simon.
The following hand, Halil Tasyurek opened to 160,000 from the button and Simon defended his big blind. Simon check-called for 100,000 on the flop before the turn and river checked through to showdown.
On the 9♦4♠2♥9♠A♥ board, Simon turned over K♦Q♥ for just king-high. Tasyurek mucked his cards.
