Liperis Turns the Straight

Weiran Pu raised to 800,000 from under the gun and Yiannis Liperis defended his big blind.

They both checked through the 10♣9♣10♠ flop to the J♠ on the turn. Liperis bet 900,000 for Pu to make the call.

The river completed the board with the 5♠ and the flush draw. Liperis contemplated it for a few seconds and then fired a bet of 1,400,000 out. Pu asked for a confirmation of the amount and the dealer confirmed. He took a bit of time and then flicked in a chip for the call.

Liperis tabled the 8♥7♠ for the turned straight to claim the pot as Pu mucked his hand.

Pu Doubles Through Liperis

Sim Kok Wai folded from under the gun and Yiannis Liperis eyed up his opponents' stacks in the blinds. He decided to shove with the biggest stack at the table. Weiran Pu took some time and then decided to make the call for 5,225,000. Candido Cappiello folded his big blind.

"SEVEN!" Regonaschi pleaded and shouted for, but the dealer completed the board with the J♣ and 10♥ for Regonaschi to bust in fifth place.
