Camosci Finds a Perfect Flop

Mauricio Salazar Sanchez raised it up in middle position and was called by Enrico Camosci on the button and Benjamin Pitoun in the big blind. The flop came K♦Q♥J♦ and Salazar Sanchez continued with a bet of 19,000. Camosci just called and Pitoun ripped all in for 68,000. Salazar Sanchez got out of the way and Camosci instantly called.

Camosci flopped a straight with a royal flush draw, leaving Pitoun drawing very slim. The 10♠ and 9♠ runout was no help to Pitoun who was bounced in the early going.

Wai Makes the Nuts and Doubles

Andrea Ruosi and Sim Kok Wai were battling for a pot of 80,000. The action was caught on the turn on a board that read Q♥2♥6♥10♠ and Ruosi had bet 74,000 from the small blind. Wai was in the hijack and made the call after a little thinking time.

The river fell the 4♦ and Ruosi rapidly went all in, covering the 135,000 chips Wai had left in his stack. Wai snap called and instantly tabled the flopped nut flush with A♥10♥. Ruosi went for it with Q♦9♦ but his top pair was not good enough to take down the pot, and he was left with about 12 big blinds.

Guenni Gets It Through on the Turn

Juan Carlos Vecino opened the action with a raise from the button before Mikael Guenni made it 65,000 from the small blind. The big blind got out of the way and Vecino put in the extra chips to see a flop.

A♠K♠J♣ was fanned out and Guenni continuation-bet for 42,000. Vecino made the call and the board paired on the A♣ turn.

Guenni now jammed all his chips in the middle for a bet of 200,000. Vecino instantly folded his hand and Guenni stacked some much desired chips on his stack.

Spragg and Beresford Gone

Good friends Benjamin Spragg and Conor Beresford were just eliminated simultaneously on adjacent tables.

Spragg played a three-bet pot with ace-jack suited, according to his own words ''like a fool'', and could not beat his opponent Enrico Camosci who is now playing nearly 90 big blinds.

On the other hand, Beresford could not muster a win with his pocket queens.

Both players left the tournament area together while discussing their respective hands.

Maria Lampropoulos came into the day as the shortest stack with 29,000 chips but managed to spin her way up to nearly 150,000 in the early going. Alan Goasdoue raised to 21,000 in the hijack and Lampropoulos defended from the big blind.

The flop came Q♦J♥8♥ and Lampropoulos check-called a bet of 10,000 from Goasdoue. The turn was the 3♥ and Lampropoulos checked again. Goasdoue fired out another bet of 25,000 and Lampropoulos still called.

The 7♣ completed the board and both players tapped the table. Lampropoulos tabled A♥7♦ for a rivered pair but it was no good against the K♦J♣ of Goasdoue. Lampropoulos took another hit to her stack but she's proven she can come back before.
