Action was heads up with around 8,000 in the middle and 5♣3♦J♦6♣ on the board when Marc Boyer check-called a bet of 6,500 from Christian Cinque. The river was 6♦ and both players checked. Cinque turned over K♦Q♦ to take the pot with a rivered flush and Boyer mucked his cards in frustration.
Florian Duta raised once it folded to his small blind and Jimmy Kebe three-bet his big blind to 2,700. Duta made the call and the A♦A♠6♠ flop was dealt. Duta checked to Kebe who decided to go for an overbet of 8,200. Duta put in the same amount and the dealer put out a turn.
On the 4♣ Kebe put the rest of his chips in and Duta snap check-called to put the Frenchman at risk.
Jimmy Kebe: A♣7♣
Florian Duta: 6♦6♥
Kebe flopped trips but Duta had him crushed as he had flopped even better with a full house. Kebe needed to hit the last ace in the deck, a seven or a four to stay alive on this bullet. However, the Q♥ completed the board and Kebe was off to the reentry desk.
Fellow countrymen Alan Goasdoue and Antoine Labat were in a pot worth 7,000. The board was completed up until the turn and read 5♥2♠6♠K♣. Goasdoue put out a bet of 3,000 and Labat check-called.
K♠ was the river and Labat checked again. This time, Goasdoue put out a bulk of his chips, plenty to put Labat all-in. Labat did not have to think long before he mucked his cards, leaving himself just over 12,000 behind.
Action was heads up with 10♠3♥4♦5♦3♠ on the board when Karim Abdelmoumene was in the tank after Christophe Larquemin shoved from the big blind. Abdelmoumene had 10,000 left and he commiserated over his options, but he opted to give it up and wait for a better chance.
Nearby, Sosia Jiang was all in for her last 22,700 and Jerome Arnaud was in the tank with more. He spent several moments trying to find the inspiration to call, but there was none and Arnaud tossed his hand in the muck. Before he folded, Arnaud showed the A♣.
The €3,000 Mystery Bounty Event has grown so big that the tournament is now split across two different rooms. The secondary room contains six tables or so for now, and Sam Grafton was spotted at one of them.
He played a hand against Sergi Enric Miralles Martinez and bet 1,100 from the button on a flop of 10♣5♥10♦. Big blind Martinez made the call before the duo checked the 8♠ turn.
The 5♠ river brought the second pair on the board and Martinez checked for the third time. Grafton now put out a pot-sized bet of 5,500 and Martinez quickly called. Grafton tabled 8♥7♦ for the turned two pair and he could rake in the pot as Martinez mucked his hand.
Grafton now plays over twice the starting stack and is off to a great beginning of his Mystery Bounty adventure.
With 25,000 chips in the middle, Angelique Grasso went all-in on a completed board of 8♥6♣6♥5♥K♠. The count was 16,500 and Ignacio Sole Aparicio thought about it for a bit before he made the call.
Angelique Grasso: J♣9♣
Ignacio Sole Aparicio: [qcd]
Grasso tried to run a bluff with his jack-high, but Aparacio sniffed it out with his pocket queens. ''Nice hand'', Grasso said to his executioner before he was seen leaving the tournament area.
Aparicio is now sitting on a whopping 171,000 chips, far and above the rest of the field.
