Manig Loeser opened for 8,000 under the gun, then Olivier Paris, a couple of seats over, checked with the dealer to make certain they were in the money before moving in for his last 29,000. Everyone else bowed out and Loeser called, having Paris covered.

The board ran out 4♣3♥Q♠6♥A♣ and despite picking up a straight draw on the turn, Loeser's inferior pair remained so. Paris took the much-needed double-up.

Then it was Aleksandr Volkov who got all in for 29,000 from early position. Big stack Silviu Baltateanu in the hijack was his only caller.

Again the short-stack had the better pair and it held up on the 9♣5♠Q♠2♣2♣ runout. Volkov got his much-needed double-up as well.

Martini and Wilf Collide in the Blinds

Julien Martini and Saar Wilf were heads-up in the blinds with around 70,000 in the pot already. The board read J♠4♠2♠2♦3♥ and Martini slid out a bet of 83,000 in the small blind, leaving just 1,000 behind.

Saar Wilf leaned across the table to get a better look at his opponent as he deliberated for minutes. "Ace-jack is supposed to be a snap-call," Wilf said aloud.

Wilf thought for another 30 seconds before dropping in some chips to call. Martini whipped over K♠5♠ for a flush and Wilf's cards went into the muck.

Killian Kramer opened to 8,000 from under the gun and it folded to Benjamin Spragg in the hijack who moved all in for 35,000. The rest of the table got out of the way and Kramer made the call to put Spragg at risk.

Spragg was slightly ahead but would need to dodge the live cards for Kramer. The board ran out K♣8♣5♠K♥9♠ and the river fell like a ton of bricks when the pair of nines scored the pot for Kramer to send Spragg to the exit in 136th place.

Drokin checked on the flop of 3♥J♥7♥ and Salazar Sanchez continued for 5,000. Drokin called. Drokin checked again on the 6♣ turn and Salazar Sanchez sized up to 16,000. Drokin again called.

Drokin checked once more on the 8♦ river and Salazar Sanchez pulled the trigger with an overbet of 72,000. Drokin went deep into the tank for several minutes and eventually folded.
