Aces Hold in Three-Way Three-Bet Pot

Level 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

The action started from under the gun when Mihails Morozovs raised to 1,000. It then folded to Nenad Dukic in the cutoff who made it 2,800 to go. Julien Sitbon was in the big blind and decided to cold call while nearing the end of his allotted thinking time. Morozovs was in as well, and the three went off to a flop.

None of the players took an aggressive action on the {9-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}, as it checked around. The {6-Hearts} turn saw the first postflop betting happening with Sitbon leading for 3,000. His two opponents both wanted to see a river and called.

On the {4-Clubs} river Sitbon upped the amount to 12,000. This was too much for Morozovs, who quickly got out of the way. Dukic was more stubborn and looked Sitbon up after some time in the tank.

Sitbon showed {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, but his pocket pair was bested by the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} of Dukic.

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Imad Derwiche raised to 1,000 from under the gun and Belarmino De Souza three-bet to 4,400 from the button. Simon Mattsson called in the big blind and Derwiche called the raise.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and all three players checked. The turn was the {6-Hearts}. Mattsson checked and Derwiche bet 5,300. Both other players folded and Derwiche scooped the pot.

Warburton's Eights Are Enough

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Pawel Krol opened to 1,000 from under the gun and only Steve Warburton called from the small blind. The players saw a flop of {5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}, on which Krol put out a bet of 1,600 after a check from Warburton. Warburton called, and the {9-Clubs} turn hit the felt. Warburton checked again, and Krol more than doubled his flop bet to 3,500. Warburton still stuck around as he made the call.

The river {q-Clubs} saw both players check, and to Krol's frustration Warburton tabled {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}. It was sufficient to win the pot, as Krol mucked his cards quickly.

Beresford Chips Up With Two Pair

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Conor Beresford
Conor Beresford

Ian Bradley raised from middle position and Conor Beresford reraised to 3,500. Bradley called and the flop was dealt. The cards came {j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and both players checked.

On the {a-Hearts} turn, Bradley checked and Beresford announced his bet of 4,000, which Bradley called. The river was the {2-Hearts} and Bradley checked again. Beresford wasn't content to check it back, instead betting with a stern value bet of 12,000. Bradley called the bet and Beresford showed {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for two pair.

The same two players were once again involved with the following hand, but action checked on the flop, turn and river. This time, it was Bradley who had the best of it with his two pair, but he didn't manage to extract much value. It was Beresford who came out on top of the exchange and he continues to chip up early in the event.

Kassouf Three-Bets Like a Boss Before Chidwick Returns the Favor

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Steven Warburton opened to 900 from early position and William Kassouf three-bet to 2,800 from the button. Warburton called when the action got back around.

Warburton checked on the flop of {4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Kassouf bet 4,500. Warburton laid it down.

"Hashtag: Like a boss," Kassouf told PokerNews after the hand.

The next hand, Kassouf opened to 1,100 from the cutoff and the button flat-called before Stephen Chidwick three-bet to 5,500 in the big blind. Kassouf called and the button folded.

Chidwick continued for 7,500 on the {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop and the normally chatty Kassouf folded without a word.

Sow Sees Turn and Folds

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Kalidou Sow
Kalidou Sow

Luis Dorneles and Kalidou Sow were battling it out on a flop of {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. There was around 8,400 in the pot when Sow bet 2,200 from the cutoff after hijack Dorneles checked. Dorneles then made it 7,100 with a check-raise, which Sow called after using a time bank extension.

The turn {2-Diamonds} saw Dorneles put most of his stack in, only leaving a few low-denomination chips behind. The bet of 25,000 was enough for Sow to fold quickly, and Dorneles rose above starting stack again.

Ill-Fated River for "LuckyChewy"

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Andrew Lichtenberger
Andrew Lichtenberger

A big three-way pot was brewing at Table 10 with the board reading {7-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}.

While the full flop action wasn't clear, Shakhabiddin Muradov had bet before Andrew Lichtenberger raised to 7,500 and Namhyung Kim cold-called behind him. Muradov folded.

The turn brought the {5-Hearts} and Lichtenberger bet 30,000 to put Kim all in for less. Kim went in the tank and eventually called off.

Namhyung Kim: {a-Spades}{6-Spades}
Andrew Lichtenberger: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Lichtenberger was ahead with an overpair whiel Kim was looking for a spade or an eight to make a gutshot. The {8-Diamonds} on the river gave him the straight and he lived to see another day.
