Silviu Baltateanu: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The Finn remained ahead after the {5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop and {7-Spades} turn but couldn't dodge the {a-Clubs} on the river.

Late Night Counts and Casualties

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Ferreira Pais Doubles Through Banic

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Mauricio Ferreira Pais was spotted raking in a double-up for 121,000 to put a major dent into the big stack of Ivan Banic and leap well above the average. On a board of {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Spades}, the {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a set of nines were good enough and the German mentioned that Banic had check-raised the turn with {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} when the chips went in.

Kyte Among the Bigger Stacks

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Jon Kyte was moved tables and then soon after defended the big blind against a cutoff raise to 9,000 by Marc Lellouche shortly before the blinds went up. The duo headed to the {k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop on which Kyte opted to check. Lellouche now bet 9,500 and then faced a small check-raise to 21,000 by the Norwegian.

Lellouche was visibly upset and slowly but carefully counted his remaining chips, then placed his media ID card on top of them ready to move. However, the sigh-fold followed and Lellouche groaned.

Souki Doubles Through Vrakas

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Philippe Souki was involved in a bigger pot with Georgios Vrakas in the small blind with the latter having checked the {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} river. Souki then pushed all-in for the 55,000 he had behind and Vrakas called some 90 seconds later.

The Brit revealed {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} for the top pair and top kicker as Vrakas mucked {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. According to Souki, he had raised from an early position and then fired three barrels to earn the full double-up for an above-average stack.
