Garagnani Eliminated by Astedt

Level 9 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Pedro Garagnani
Pedro Garagnani

The action folded all the way to Pedro Garagnani in the small blind and he pushed all-in for the 55,000 he had behind. Niklas Astedt in the big blind mulled it over and called within the allocated 30-second shot clock.

Pedro Garagnani: {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}
Niklas Astedt: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

"Oh no," the Brazilian joked and feared the worst as Astedt is known to win flips. The {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} flop and {2-Hearts} turn brought no help to Astedt yet but he made broadway with the {10-Diamonds} river.

Mateos Hangs Tough Against Watson

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Mike Watson raised to 5,500 on the button and Adrian Mateos just called from the small blind. They went heads-up to a flop of {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and Mateos check-called a bet of 9,500 from Watson.

The turn brought the {j-Diamonds} and Mateos checked again. Watson fired a second barrel of 18,000 and Mateos still called. The {8-Clubs} hit the river and both players went to showdown. Mateos flipped over {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for two pair and Watson mucked his cards.

Mateos Doubles Through Watson; Kisacikoglu Gets a Move Through

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

With some 40,000 in the middle to the {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} river, Mike Watson bet 30,000 out of the big blind. Adrian Mateos then moved all-in for 85,000 and that sent Watson into the tank. He eventually opted to call and was shown the {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the ace-high flush by the Spaniard.

Watson flung his cards towards the muck but Mateos immediately pointed towards them to see it revealed as per all-in showdown role, after which the dealer exposed the {j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for trips eights.

Greenwood Essentially Doubles; Adams Chips Up

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Heads-up to the {j-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{q-Spades} turn, Timothy Adams in the big blind checked and then called a bet worth 11,000 by Pedro Garagnani in the under-the-gun position. The {8-Spades} fell on the river and Garagnani used one time bank before he checked behind.

Adams tabled the {q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for top pair and a missed flush draw to win the pot.

In the meanwhile, Sam Greenwood chipped up after his river bet on the {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} board was paid off by Chris Brewer. Greenwood showed {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a queen-high straight and Brewer mucked with plenty of frustration.

Back-to-Back Doubles Bring Grafton Back to Life

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

Felipe Ketzer opened to 5,500 in early position and Sam Grafton ripped all in for 24,500 on his left. The action folded back to Ketzer who quickly called.

Sam Grafton: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Felipe Ketzer: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Grafton's pair of tens held on for a clean double-up.

"Now you can start talking again," Kayhan Mokri encouraged.

"I'm not here to perform for you," Grafton quipped back.

On the next hand, Ketzer raised to 5,500 again and Grafton moved all in for 55,000 this time. Tom Orpaz re-raised to 100,000 from the small blind which got Ketzer to fold his {a-Spades}{q-Spades}.

Grafton flipped over {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and was once again in a great spot against the {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} of Orpaz. The flop came {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Spades} which made Ketzer squirm in his chair. The {4-Diamonds} and {9-Clubs} runout secured Grafton another double to climb above starting stack.

Steve O'Dwyer raised to 6,500 and Chris Brewer then three-bet to 16,500 from one seat over. It folded to Tauan Naves in the big blind and he pushed all-in, claiming the chips without any resistance.

One hand later, it was Naves who raised to 8,500 in the small blind and O'Dwyer called in the big blind. Naves checked a {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop, then called O'Dwyer's bet of 12,000. The same action repeated on the {7-Diamonds} turn for 27,000 and O'Dwyer checked behind the {3-Spades} river.

Naves rolled over {q-Hearts}{7-Spades} for trips sevens and won the second pot in a row.
