Mulder Gets the Best of Mokri

Level 14 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Kayhan Mokri
Kayhan Mokri

The action folded around to Teun Mulder and Kayhan Mokri who were in the blinds. "Just you and me, Tony," Mokri said with a smile. Mulder limped in and Mokri pushed all in for 150,000. Mulder snapped him off and the cards were on their backs.

Kayhan Mokri: {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Teun Mulder: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}

The flop of {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{2-Clubs} put Mokri in the lead with two pair. The {8-Hearts} on the turn changed nothing but the {k-Hearts} on the river gave Mulder a better two pair to dispatch Mokri from the tournament.

Volkmann Eliminated by Astedt

Level 14 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Bruno Volkmann moved his last 75,000 chip in from under the gun and was called by Niklas Astedt on the button.

Bruno Volkmann: {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
Niklas Astedt: {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

The flop came {a-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, bringing Astedt a set of sixes, and leaving Volkmann in dire straights.

The board completed {8-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}, filling up Astedt and eliminating Volkmann just after the tables were merged for the final 16 players.

Level 14 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Rui Neves Ferreira
Rui Neves Ferreira

Rui Neves Ferreira opened to 20,000 in early position and Simon Mattsson called on the button. Thomas Muehloecker shoved all in for around 200,000 in the big blind and Ferreira called off his last 147,000. Mattsson got out of the way and the two hands were tabled.

Rui Neves Ferreira: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Thomas Muehloecker: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Ferreira was in need of an ace in order to stay alive but the board of {4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs} provided no help, bringing the field down to just two tables.

Adams Spikes an Ace to Bust Greenwood

Level 13 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

Sam Greenwood was down to just 83,000 chips and ripped all in on the button. Timothy Adams called from the small blind and Seth Davies folded his big blind.

Sam Greenwood: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Timothy Adams: {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}

"Wow," came out of Adams' mouth, not expecting Greenwood to be that strong. However, the {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{k-Hearts} flop put Adams in the lead after his ace. The {k-Diamonds} on the turn was bad for Greenwood who was bounced to the rail on the {4-Diamonds} river.

Garagnani Doubles Through Mokri

Level 13 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

With over 60,000 in the middle on the {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} turn, Kayhan Mokri bet 16,000 from the big blind and was called by Pedro Garagnani in the hijack, leaving himself 62,000 behind.

On the {2-Hearts} river, Mokri checked and Garagnani bet 61,000, leaving himself a single yellow chip behind.

Mokri commented that he didn't believe Garagnani and after using a couple of time banks, he called.

Garagnani rolled over {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for two pair, kings and sevens, and Mokri mucked to send Garagnani to dinner with a near double-up.
