Lin Out Again, Hall Joins the Field

Level 4 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Ren Lin
Ren Lin

Aleksejs Ponakovs opened to 3,500 under the gun and Ren Lin shoved all in for 33,500 on his left. Teun Mulder just flat-called on the button and the rest of the table folded including Ponakovs.

Ren Lin: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Teun Mulder: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Lin found himself dominated and cheering for "mister Gaga". The board ran out {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Mulder's ace-high was good enough to eliminate Lin for the second and final time this tournament.

Galen Hall also joined the field, bringing the total entries up to 20 before the first break.

Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Erik Seidel opened to 3,500 in the cutoff and was called by Jean-Noel Thorel on the button. Stephen Chidwick jammed all in for 19,000 in the big blind and Seidel min-raised to 34,500 to force Thorel out of the pot.

Stephen Chidwick: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}
Erik Seidel: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The flop came {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Seidel solidified his place in the lead with a pair of queens. The {5-Hearts} on the turn left Chidwick drawing dead to the {a-Clubs} on the river.

Muehloecker Spikes the River to Double Through Thorel

Level 3 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Daniel Dvoress
Daniel Dvoress

Jean-Noel Thorel raised to 3,500 in the cutoff and was called by Daniel Dvoress on the button and Thomas Muehlocker in the small blind. The flop came {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Thorel continued with a bet of 6,000. Dvoress called and Muehloecker check-raised to 20,000. Thorel and Dvoress both called to see the {4-Hearts} on the turn.

Muehloecker used one of his time banks and then shoved all in for 74,500. Thorel instantly called and Dvoress was forced to get out of the way. Muehloecker turned over {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for a combo draw while Thorel held {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} for top pair.

The river was the {3-Hearts} and Muehleocker made a flush to score a double up, much to the dismay of Thorel who was left shaking his head.

Lin Jumps Back In but Loses Some Chips Again

Level 3 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Ren Lin
Ren Lin

Ren Lin quickly reentered the tournament and jumped right into the action when Teun Mulder raised to 3,500 in the hijack and was called by Orpen Kisacikoglu on the button. Lin also called from the big blind and the dealer spread the flop of {10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}.

Mulder continued with a bet of 2,500 and Kisacikoglu called. Lin check-raised to 10,000 and Mulder countered with a three-bet to 18,000. Kisacikoglu stepped aside and Lin called.

The {3-Diamonds} paired the board on the turn and both players checked to the {q-Clubs} on the river. Lin checked again and Mulder fired out a bet of 25,000. Lin let his hand go and Mulder climbed to nearly 400,000 already.

Jaffe Takes Everything from Lin

Level 3 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Ren Lin

It only took a couple of raises for Ren Lin and Jonathan Jaffe to get all of their chips in the middle preflop. It was Lin who was at risk for 73,000 and he also put a lucky orange in the pot as well.

Ren Lin: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}
Jonathan Jaffe: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

"You're in trouble now," Len bolstered. "Come on Bonita," he cheered on the dealer.

The board ran out {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and Jaffe's set of kings was enough to eliminate Lin. Jaffe ran around the table to collect Lin's lucky orange as well and add it to his stack.

"I go home now...broke," Lin carried on as he left the tournament area.

Aleksejs Ponakovs raised to 2,500 in the cutoff and Mike Watson three-bet to 11,000 in the small blind. Teun Mulder four-bet to 23,000 in the big blind which made Poankovs tank-fold. Watson called and they went heads-up to a flop of {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}.

Watson checked to Mulder who continued with a bet of 10,000 and Watson called. The {8-Hearts} paired the board on the turn and Watson checked again. Mulder tossed in another bet of 20,000 and Watson finally released his cards.

"It Was Suited!"

Level 2 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Ren Lin
Ren Lin

Jean-Noel Thorel and Ren Lin were heads-up on a flop of {j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Lin check-called a bet of 3,000 from Thorel. The turn brought the {4-Diamonds} and Lin check-called another bet of 8,000.

On the {k-Diamonds} river, Lin led out with a bet of 27,000. Thorel gave it some thought and eventually threw in the chips to call. Lin smacked his own hand as if he did something wrong and turned over {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for a pair of eights. Thorel tabled {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a pair of jacks to scoop the pot.

"Too much bluff, no future," Lin laughed. "How do you call with overcard out there?"

"It was suited," Thorel replied which got a laugh from the table.
