Celso Counterfeits Chisu on the River

Level 23 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Danut Chisu
Danut Chisu

Luis Celso raised it up from under the gun and Danut Chisu called in the big blind. The flop came {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Chisu check-called a bet from Celso.

The turn was the {8-Clubs} and Chisu checked again. Celso slid out another bet of 250,000 on the turn and Chisu jammed all in for 695,000. Celso snapped him off and turned over {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}. Chisu managed to turn two pair with {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} but the {4-Hearts} on the river paired the board giving Celso the better two pair.

Chisu banged the table as he rose from his seat, but he doesn't have much to frown upon after earning €96,000 in bounties throughout the day.

Dowling Pairs Up to Bust Lykov

Level 23 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Christopher Dowling opened to 50,000 from the hijack and called when Maxim Lykov jammed for 265,000 on his direct left.

Maxim Lykov: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Christopher Dowling: {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Lykov remained in front on the {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop but Dowling paired his queen on the {q-Clubs} turn. The {8-Clubs} river was of no help to the short stack and Lykov exited the room.

Camosci and Tedeshi Out

Level 23 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Giedrius Breive had opened from the button and small blind Enrico Camosci went all in for 260,000. Breive snap called as the covering stack and the cards were tabled:

Enrico Camosci: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Giedrius Breive: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The overpair of Breive held on {10-Hearts}{k-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and Camosci hit the rail.

Joining Camosci would be Paul Tedeschi, who simultaneously got eliminated on another table.

Breive Barely Covers for a Bounty

Level 23 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Giedrius Breive raised it up in the cutoff and Conor Bergin ripped all in on the button. Breive wasted little time before making the call and the cards were on their backs.

Conor Bergin: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Giedrius Breive: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

The flop came {10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Breive was still in the lead with his pair of jacks. The {9-Hearts} on the turn and the {5-Clubs} on the river wouldn't change anything either. After the stacks were counted, Bergin was the player at risk for 565,000 while Breive had him covered with 570,000.

It wasn't all bad news for Bergin who headed to the treasure chest to redeem a bounty chip. He managed to pull the €35,000 prize for an additional payday on his way out the door.
