After a lengthy stretch of small pots, Nick Petrangelo has surged to the lead with his elimination of Pedro Marques.
Petrangelo made it 420,000 to go in the small blind and Marques moved in for a bit over 3,000,000 in the big blind. Petrangelo didn't hesitate to call.

Marques had picked an unfortunate time to jam and after the board came 
bringing him no help, Marques was sent to the rail in fourth place, sending the chip lead to Petrangelo in the process.

After Chris Brewer opened to 240,000 on the button, Jules Dickerson moved all in from the small blind.
Brewer asked for a count, which was 4,245,000, about 600,000 less than Brewer had in his stack.
Brewer spread his time banks to the side and used a pair of them before opting to fold, leaving the battle at the top of the leaderboard still very tightly packed.

Dickerson led the flop for 100,000 and Petrangelo called.

turn, Dickerson now checked and Petrangelo bet 250,000, which Dickerson called.
The river brought the 
and Dickerson checked again. This time, Petrangelo brought the heat with a bet of 1,300,000 which sent Dickerson deep into the tank.
While Dickerson mulled his lofty decision, the dealer peeled seven time bank cards off of Dickerson's pile before the chip leader entering the day chose to fold his hand, sending the last pot of the level to Petrangelo before break.

Both players folded to boost Dickerson back over 5,000,000 and back into a slight chip lead.
