After an extended Day 2 at the 2023 PokerStars European Poker Tour Paris, there will be 11 players returning to the felt for the final day of the €50,000 EPT Super High Roller. A total of 68 entries were recorded in this event which generated a prize pool of €3,198,720 but only nine players will grab a piece of the pie.

Leading the way heading into Day 3 is maybe the most unknown player of them all in Jules Dickerson. The self-proclaimed "washed-up poker pro" according to his Twitter bio, amassed a whopping stack of 3,790,000. It wasn't just any specific hand that shot Dickerson up the leaderboard as opposed to a slow build throughout the day.

Dickerson can often be found playing some high-stakes cash games but has made his way to the French capital specifically to play in this high-roller tournament. Following closely behind him is Juan Pardo who bagged up a stack of 2,435,000 after a late really including multiple double-ups. Rounding out the top three is local poker player Gregoire Auzoux who claimed a big double-up on the last hand of the night to accumulate the majority of his chips.

Some more household names to keep an eye on heading into the final day include Chris Brewer (1,640,000), Steve O'Dwyer (1,410,000), and Thomas Muehloecker (1,280,000). One of the short stacks to keep an eye on is Pedro Marques (640,000) who is coming off a recent fifth-place finish at the PokerStars Players Championship in the Bahamas. Marques recorded his first-ever seven-figure score and will be looking to add to his resume when tomorrow rolls around.

The day began with 33 players returning to their seats after bagging chips on Day 1. However, with late registration still open until the start of the day, an additional 10 players joined the field, bringing the total number of entries up to 68. Although a fresh stack of chips was worth more than 40 big blinds, it didn't take long for the action to heat up and the players to start dropping.

A couple of the late entries that fell by the wayside in the early going included Jonathan Jaffe, Kannapong Thanarattrakul, and Rui Ferreira. PokerStars ambassador Sam Grafton also failed to get anything going today and bowed out at the midway mark.

In one of the largest pots of the day, Ben Heath vaulted to the top of the leaderboard halfway through Day 2. Heath spiked two pair and got a full double up at the hands of Nikita Kuznetsov but it wasn't enough as the British poker pro became the last person to hit the rail on Day 2.

When the action resumes at 12:30 p.m. local time tomorrow, there will unfortunately be two players heading home empty-handed. Only nine players will make it into the money with a min-cash being worth €92,800 and the winner taking home a cool €959,520. Here is a look at the full list of payouts for the final table:

Juan Pardo
Juan Pardo

After his big win over Joao Vieira, Steve O'Dwyer has sent many of his newfound chips across the table to Juan Pardo.

O'Dwyer raised to 80,000 in the hijack and was called by Pardo in the big blind.

On the {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop, Pardo check-called a bet of 110,000 from O'Dwyer.

The players checked the {8-Spades} turn, but on the {k-Diamonds} river, Pardo fired big, to the tune of 575,000.

O'Dwyer made the call to see Pardo's {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} to drag a seven-figure pot before night's end.

Sam Greenwood raised under the gun to 90,000 and was called by Jules Dickerson in the big blind.

On the {4-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop, Dickerson checked to Greenwood who bet 60,000. Dickerson responded with a check-raise to 225,000 which Greenwood called.

The turn brought the {q-Diamonds} and Dickerson checked again. Greenwood checked back this time.

On the {q-Clubs} river, Dickerson led for 475,000 which sent Greenwood into the blender.

After using three time bank cards, Greenwood spiked a stack of chips forward to call and saw that Dickerson had gotten him.

Dickerson showed {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a straight draw that had turned into running trip queens.

The chips moved to Dickerson who has built himself a healthy chip lead as the night nears its end.

Heath Runs Out of Steam

Sam Greenwood - Ben Heath
Sam Greenwood - Ben Heath

Sam Greenwood raised to 95,000 in the hijack and Ben Heath stuck in his last 50,000 in the cutoff. Thomas Muehloecker three-bet to 310,000 out of the big blind and Greenwood called to create a side pot.

The flop came {j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and the action checked through to the {7-Clubs} on the turn and the {a-Spades} on the river. Muehloecker finally threw in a bet of 70,000 and Greenwood called. Muehloecker showed {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} but Greenwood had him out-kicked with {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. Heath could only muster {q-Spades}{j-Spades} for a pair of jacks and was eliminated.

O'Dwyer Picks Off Vieira, Sending Him to the Rail

Level 17 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Joao Vieira
Joao Vieira

Joao Vieira raised to 80,000 in the hijack and was called by Steve O'Dwyer in the cutoff.

The duo checked the {4-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop, but on the {10-Clubs} turn business picked up in a big way.

Vieira checked and O'Dwyer bet 130,000. After using a time bank, Vieira moved all in for 925,000 which sent O'Dwyer deep into the tank.

He dropped his stack of time bank cards in front of his chips, took off his hat, undid his ponytail, then leaned back in his chair and began to think as he ran his fingers through his hair, stopping briefly only to tug at his beard while he pondered his decision.

The dealer peeled time bank cards away from him one by one until O'Dwyer finally called with his stack slightly covering Vieira's.

His call was a good one. He showed {k-Spades}{q-Spades} for a pair of queens, while Vieira showed {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a flush draw with an overcard.

The dealer dropped the {9-Diamonds} on the river, sealing Vieira's fate and sending a large pot to O'Dwyer

Muehloecker Leaves Heath on Crumbs

Level 17 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Thomas Muehloecker raised to 80,000 in the hijack and Ben Heath eyed up his stack from the small blind before shoving all in. Muehloecker looked back at his cards and the called off his stack of 820,000.

Thomas Muehloecker: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Ben Heath: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

It turned out to be a coin flip and the flop of {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades} favored Muehloecker. The {9-Hearts} on the turn and the {8-Diamonds} on the river secured the double for Muehloecker, leaving Heath with just 50,000.

Pardo Takes From Petrangelo

Level 17 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Action was folded to the blinds, where Juan Pardo raised to 120,000 in the small and Nick Petrangelo defended in the big.

The flop came {3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Pardo continued for 70,000. Petrangelo called and the {j-Clubs} fell on the turn.

Pardo sized up to 210,000 which sent Petrangelo briefly into the tank. He examined Pardo's roughly 1,000,000 remaining chips, but then after using a time bank, elected to fold.
