Klotz Busts Alibas to Breach Million-Chip Mark

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Salim Alibas was already all in and at risk preflop for his remaining stack from the big blind against Martin Klotz, who had Alibas covered from the hijack.

Salim Alibas: QQ
Martin Klotz: AK

It was a classic race, but the A10478 runout paired Klotz's ace to eliminate Alibas from the tournament.

Graells Eliminated by Chatzipanagiotis

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Alexander Norden opened to 24,000, then Ricardo Graells to his left three-bet all in for 32,000. Both players in the blinds called, and Norden called too.

The dealer fanned a flop of 3310, and Gavril Peter in the small blind checked. But Georgios Chatzipanagiotis in the big blind decided to take the lead with a bet of 45,000. Norden folded, as well as Peter.

Ricardo Graells: A9
Georgios Chatzipanagiotis: K10

"I only have three outs" said Graells when he showed his cards. But he didn't find the ace he needed on the turn 5 or the river J, so he was eliminated.

Wheeler Rolls Out

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Jason Wheeler
Jason Wheeler

In a three-way pot to a flop of K52, Jason Wheeler checked from the big blind before Robin Sommer bet out 70,000 from early position. Ender Lacin made the call from the cutoff, after which Wheeler decided to risk it all by putting his stack of 425,000 in the middle.

Sommer spent some time in the tank before ultimately folding, but Lacin snap-called to put Wheeler's tournament life at risk.

Jason Wheeler: KQ
Ender Lacin: 55

Wheeler was left to runner-runner outs against the set of Lacin, and when the 3 turn appeared, his Eureka Main Event was over. The 9 river completed the board as a formality and Wheeler went on his way to the payout desk.

Oral Scoops Monster Pot

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Picking the action up on a board of 92A10, Ian Gascoigne put out a bet of 35,000 in the cutoff and was called by Thomas Holmer on the button. Ismet Oral then produced a check-raise to 123,000.

Gascoigne called, but Holmer put the squeeze on by four-betting all in for about 560,000, covering both players. Oral quickly called off for his remaining 119,000 and Gascoigne quickly folded.

Ismet Oral: A9
Thomas Holmer: A8

Oral was in good shape with two pair against Holmer's top pair, but Holmer had outs with his flush draw.

However the 5 completed the board and sent a 649,000 pot to Oral, with Holmer left with 250,000.

Borowski Shoves the Turn

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Marcus Borowski opened to 26,000 from early position and found one caller in Hrayr Grigoryan from the big blind.

Grigoryan check-called a 23,000 bet from Borowski on the 549 flop and checked to Borowski again on the 3 turn.

Borowski announced he was all in, which was enough to put Grigoryan all in for his last 250,000.

"You're not afraid of six-seven?" Grigoryan asked as he pondered his decision.

Eventually, Grigoryan let his hand go and Borowski collected the pot without showing.

Thiess Outkicks Silz

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Daniel Thiess opened on the button to 25,000. Maximilian Silz called and it went to a flop.

It came 43Q, to which Silz checked. Thiess again bet 25,000 and his German counterpart called.

Both players checked on the A turn.

Once again, as the 9 landed on the river we saw two checks. Thiess showed J4 while Silz tabled 54. Both players had a pair of jacks but Thiess showed the bigger kicker to take the pot down.

Dranovitsas Contributes to Nader's Decline

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

After another player at the table had open-raised to 24,000, Alfred Nader flat-called from middle position. Alexandros Dranovitsas then three-bet jammed for 194,000 from the hijack and the action folded back to Nader.

Nader went deep into the tank before sighing and putting in the calling chips to put Dranovitsas at risk.

Alexandros Dranovitsas: K10
Alfred Nader: K9

Nader was dominated, and even more so when Dranovitsas paired his ten on the A106 flop. The 8 turn gave Nader multiple draws, but the K river upgraded Dranovitsas to two pair instead, awarding him the pot.
