Berger Unhappy with Worthington-Leese

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Leo Worthington-Leese
Leo Worthington-Leese

Patrick Berger opened to 6,500 from under the gun and called when Leo Worthington-Leese three-bet to 18,000 on his direct left.

Berger check-called for 14,500 on the J104 flop before the 3 turn checked through to the 10 river. Berger, with 82,000 behind, checked and Worthington-Leese jammed as the slightly bigger stack.

Berger went into the tank and began to list the hands that he beat and those that he didn't. After a fair bit of thinking time, Berger made the call.

The Austrian was immediately frustrated that Worthington-Leese had rivered trips with A10, which bested his QQ. A small tirade about Worthington-Leese's cards followed before he left the tournament room.

Sammer Shoves River

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Ran Shahar opened to 9,000 in the highjack and Ferdinando D'Alessio calls in the cutoff.

Harald Sammer chose to reraise on the button to 32,000. Sharhar folded and D'Alessio made the call.
D'Alessio checked the flop of Q84 to Sammer who continuation-bet for 20,000.

D'Alessio took a moment before making the call.

The 9 turn was checked around, then the dealer flipped the 4 and Dalessio led for 35,000.

Sammer waited for a second, before announcing all in for 108,000.

This put D'Alessio deep into the tank. He assessed his stack and pondered making the call.

Eventually he put the chips in and Sammer tabled AQ for top two pair. D'Alessio flipped over J10 for a turned straight.

Sammer looked visibly confused and said "that's surprising" as he stood up from the table and left the tournament.

Vitezslav Cech: KK
Tamas Adamszki: QQ

Cech was in good shape to double up, but the 58Q flop vaulted Adamszki into the lead with a set of queens.
