Di Ceglie Checks in the Dark

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Andrii Kozlenko opened from under the gun to 5,000. Action folded around to Pasquale Di Ceglie in the big blind who defended.

Di Ceglie checked in the dark before the flop of 526 was dealt and Kozlenko bet 5,000. Di Ceglie called and checked in the dark once more.

Kozlenko checked the 2 and the 8 was dealt on the river.

Di Ceglie knuckled after seeing the river and Kozlenko knuckled back. Di Ceglie showed 95 for two pair and Kozlenko mucked.

Veiga Folds to Jakovljevic's Pressure

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Action folded around to the blinds, where Dejan Jakovljevic raised to 8,500 from the small blind and Diogo Veiga three-bet to 25,500 from the big blind.

Undeterred, Jakovljevic pushed out a four-bet for a bit less than 100,000 and Veiga quickly folded. Jakovljevic re-checked his hole cards and placed them into the muck before collecting the pot.

Abud Picks Off Lipien's Bluff

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Jaroslaw Lipien bet 18,000 from the hijack on a board of 45A3 and Hussein Abud called on the button.

The river was the 7 and Lipien bet another 40,000. Abud tanked for a moment, then called.

Lipien showed KQ for a bluff and Abud turned over 52 for a straight as he took the pot.

"I'm an action player," Abud said.

"I can see that," tablemate Moritz Dietrich said.

Tulepbergenov Sends Marecek Out

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Azamat Tulepbergenov opened to 5,000 on the button and just behind him, Pavel Marecek shoved for his last 30,000 from the small blind and Tulepbergenov called to put him at risk.

Pavel Marecek: A10
Azamat Tulepbergenov: 77

The 47K flop improved Tulepbergenov to a set and left Marecek drawing to runner-runner.

Marecek was drawing dead after the K turn upgraded Tulepbergenov to a full house and an irrelevant A completed the board — eliminating Marecek from the tournament.

Mikolaitis Cracks Worthington-Leese's Aces

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

After 2023 EPT Monte-Carlo finalist Leo Worthington-Leese opened from middle position and was called by the button, Dominykas Mikolaitis raised all-in for 87,000 from the big blind. He was only called by Worthington-Leese.

Dominykas Mikolaitis: J10
Leo Worthington-Leese: AA

Even though Mikolaitis hit a pair on the 2103 flop, Worthington-Leese remained in the lead. However, after the turn 4, Mikolaitis was lucky enough to find the J on the river, giving him two pair. Clearly relieved, he doubled up.
