Helou Chips Up Through Schulze

Level 23 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Sebastian Schulze min-raised to 50,000 in the cutoff and Mark Helou flat-called on the button. A subsequent flop of Q65 was then checked by Schulze, after which Helou let loose 60,000 chips.

Schulze made the call and a 3 turn graced the felt. Schulze checked again but folded after Helou put another 100,000 chips in the middle.

Ran Ilani asked for a count in the small blind and tanked for a moment before folding as action went back on Zhao, who also took around 30 seconds before he called. Kocab quickly got out of the way.

Spragg Has a Better Ace

Umberto Ruggeri opened to 55,000 from middle position. Marle Spragg and Serge Chechin called from the blinds.

Ruggeri continued for 65,000 on the K107 flop and both opponents called.

Ruggeri sized up to 260,000 on the 3 turn, and only Spragg called.

Action checked through on the 7 river and Spragg tabled AQ. Ruggeri threw his hands in the air before tabling his A4 for a worse ace-high and Spragg took the pot.

Heads-up on a flop of KK2, Andraz Gognjavec bet 50,000 from under the gun and Vincent Meli called on the button.

The turn came the 10 and Gognjavec bet another 125,000. Meli again called and the K fell on the river.

Gognjavec checked this time and Meli bet 175,000. Gognjavec tossed all of his time banks into the middle as he tanked for a minute before folding.

The river came the 5 and Gognjavec bet 175,000. Colillas quickly called and Gognjavec showed 54 for trip fives.

Colillas, though, had 98 for a rivered flush as Gognjavec shot back in his seat before giving up the pot.

The action folded back to Ilani, who confirmed the amount before electing to save his 13 big blinds for another spot.

After Grigorii Rodin raised to 50,000 from the button, Jon Kyte defended from the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of A10J, and Rodin continued for 45,000. Kyte check-called, then both players checked on the turn J.

The 3 landed on the river, with Kyte leading out for 160,000. Rodin eventually called with A8, catching Kyte bluffing with 64.

O'Dwyer Stays Alive
