O’Neill Makes the Right Call

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Padraig O'Neill
Padraig O'Neill

Padraig O'Neill opened to 100,000 from the hijack and was three-bet to 280,000 by Dejan Jakovljevic on the button. Action folded back around to O’Neill, who called.

O’Neill check-called a 160,000 bet from Jakovljevic on the 633 flop and a 380,000 barrel from Jakovljevic on the 7 turn.

The 2 completed the board and and O’Neill checked once more. Jakovljevic wasn’t done, however, and after using up two time extensions he fired 650,000 into the middle.

O’Neill counted out calling chips and used up a few time extensions himself as he pondered his decision. Eventually, he slid calling chips into the middle, which was met with an immediate muck from Jakovljevic.

O’Neill declined to show and he collected the large pot while Jakovljevic fell under a million in chips.

Niall Farrell Eliminated in 16th Place (€42,320)

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Niall Farrell
Niall Farrell

Padraig O'Neill raised to 100,000 in early position before Jon Kyte three-bet to 320,000 in middle position. Niall Farrell then four-bet to 675,000 in the hijack.

O'Neill folded, but Kyte moved all in and Farrell quickly called for 2,100,000.

Niall Farrell: QQ
Jon Kyte: AK

"I always have the pair against ace-king. Finally time for ace-king to win," Kyte said heading to the 378 flop, which kept Farrell in the lead. The turn, though, was the K and Kyte made top pair to move in front.

Farrell watched helplessly as the 4 completed the board and sealed his elimination in 16th place.

"So annoying," he said as he got up from his seat.

"You're the flip king," tablemate Dejan Jakovljevic told Kyte as the chip leader stacked up nearly 10,000,000.

Kyte Keeps His Foot on the Pedal

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Jon Kyte raised to 105,000 in the hijack and Niall Farrell called in the cutoff.

The flop came 8Q4 and Kyte continued for 110,000. Farrell called and the 4 fell on the turn.

Kyte bet another 380,000 and Farrell again called. The river was the 10 and Kyte put in a stack of red 100,000 chips as Farrell snap-folded without even waiting to confirm the amount.

"First and last time I show," Kyte said as he flashed the Q.

"I had the good spades. The best spades," Farrell replied.
