Harwood Slow Plays Aces and Gets Punished

Level 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Bradley Harwood limped in from under the gun and Luka Sorainen limped behind from the cutoff before Jose Criado checked from the big blind.

The flop came 762. Criado checked, Harwood bet 13,000, Sorainen folded and Criado called.

Both players then checked the 9 turn and J river. Criado tabled 97 for two pair. Harwood showed that he had AA before Criado took the pot.

Helin Uses His Stand-Up Equity

Level 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Michel Molenaar raised from under the gun and Joonas Helin shoved from middle position for almost 80,000. When the action got back to Molenaar, he made the call which put Helin at risk.

Joonas Helin: KQ All in
Michel Molenaar: AQ

"King," shouted Helin.

There wasn't much for Helin to celebrate on the 557 flop and by the time the 9 landed on the turn he was already up and out of his seat with his bag over his shoulder. However, the stand-up trick seemed to work for the Helin as the K rolled off on the river, which gave him a pair of kings and earned him a double-up.

Anufriiev Scores Knockout with Big Slick

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Henok Tekle moved all in for 38,000 from middle position and was called by Jose Criado in the cutoff before Eduard Anufriiev shoved for 166,000. Criado went into the tank for a couple minutes before opting to fold leaving Tekle at risk against Anufriiev.

Henok Tekle: K10 All in
Eduard Anufriiev: AK

The A37 flop gave Anufriiev top pair leaving Tekle drawing close to dead. Tekle found no further help when the rest of the board ran out 4Q and was sent to the rail a few spots shy of the money while Anufriiev dragged in the pot.

Compte Check-Shoves River With the Nuts and Eliminates Zabrodotskyi

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

With almost 50,000 chips in the middle of the table and a board of Q8KA2 showing, Sebastien Compte had checked over to Yurii Zabrodotskyi, who had made a bet on the river. Compte then check-shoved, which put Zabrodotskyi to the test for his remaining stack of around 60,000. The clock was called as the decision was taking too long and with just a few seconds of the countdown remaining, Zabrodotskyi called.

Compte confidently tabled J10 for the nuts, and Zabrodotskyi showed he had made a light call with Kx10x for a pair of kings.

Shi Doubles with Deuces

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

In a preflop confrontation Corine Shi was all in for a bit less than 20,000 from middle position and up against Mathias Bayer in the big blind who covered her.

Corine Shi: 22 All in
Mathias Bayer: A4

Things initially looked grim for Shi when a four came in the window but the 4J2 flop gave Shi bottom set leaving Bayer drawing very thin. He picked up a flush draw on the 6 turn but the 5 river was a brick and Shi scored a full double up through Bayer.

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

With around 50,000 chips in the pot, a full board of 9J542 was showing when Shiina Okamoto fired 36,000 on the river. Luka Sorainen was the player with the decision and he was in the tank for a while before he finally made the call.

Okamoto tabled K10 for king-high, but Sorainen had made the right call with Q5 for a pair of fives and took the pot.
