Tekle Doubles Through Vallinas

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Shiina Okamoto opened to 8,000 from early position and Jon Vallinas shoved for 47,000 from middle position. Henok Tekle called from the big blind with his remaining stack of 25,000 and Okamato got out of the way leaving Tekle at risk against against against Vallinas.

Tekle was ahead with the bigger ace and held up on the 782JJ runout to score a full double up while Vallinas was left severely short-stacked and busted out soon afterwards.

Obili Spikes the River Against Thomas

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Raviteja Obili opened from middle position to 9,000 and Jean-Claude Thomas peeled out of the small blind.

They both saw a flop of 10AQ which Thomas checked, Obili bet 7,000, and Thomas check-raised to 17,000. After thinking it through, Obili then shoved for 94,000, and Thomas snap-called.

A cooler of a flop saw Obili flop top two pair, but Thomas had flopped Broadway. A 9 on the turn did give Obili a flush draw to go along with his full house outs, but it was Thomas who held the lead with one card to come. Thomas smashed the table in frustration when he saw the Q fall on the river as Obili spiked a full house to double up and snatch the pot away at the last opportunity.

With two players seeing a board of KJ10 and about 35,000 in the middle, Roman Yurkiv checked from under the gun and Piero Alioto bet 8,000 from the button. Yurkiv made the call.

Alioto sized up with a bet of 31,000 when checked to on the 9 turn and this time it was enough to force a fold from his opponent.

Jose Criado opened to 9,000 from middle position and Mario Laterza shoved for 74,000 from the small blind. Once the big blind folded, Criado made the call.

These two had player a pot earlier on in the flight which Laterza won but now the Italian player was on the brink of elimination. Criado pushed his opponent closer to the edge on the 8K6 flop, and despite Laterza picking up some outs on the Q turn, no help arrived on the 4 river.

In a preflop confrontation Valentin Ionita was all in for roughly 55,000 and up against Konstantin Farber who covered him.

Joan Perez shoved for 27,000 from middle position and Eduard Anufriiev moved all in behind. Thomas Syversen was in the small blind and committed his stack of around 45,000.

Anufriiev had a chance to eliminate two players and was the favorite to do so after the 5Q6 flop paired his queen. Perez picked up a flush draw on the 7 turn but the J river was a brick, which meant the pot was pushed in Anufriiev's direction.

Ferrah Slow Plays Aces

Gerard Rubiralta opened to 6,000 from the cutoff and Meddi Ferrah three-bet to 17,000 from the button. Rubiralta made the call.

The flop came Q23 and Rubiralta check-called an 11,500 bet from Ferrah.

Both players checked the 9 turn leading to the 7 river. Rubiralta bet 22,000 and Ferrah snap-called.

Rubiralta showed an overpair with AA which was enough to down a sizable pot.
