On the J♥4♥3♦ flop, action was checked to Kraous, who put out a bet of 275,000. Carreras called, before Girard produced a check-raise to 750,000, leading to swift folds from both of his opponents.

Najib Shacar opened to 325,000 from under the gun, leaving himself only a single 5,000 chip behind. Christophe Pommier three-bet to 600,000 from the hijack and action folded back around to Shacar. After checking the action on the other table, Shacar put his last chip into the pot and the players flipped their hands.

Shacar was looking to hold and he was ahead on the 8♠3♣5♥ flop.

The 10♠ turn brought in a flush draw for Pommier and the K♠ river brought it in for Pommier.

Shacar stood from the table as he was eliminated in 14th place, taking home a €29,550 payout.

After the break, action has slowed, but Grzegorz Kozieja has been upping the pressure and building up his stack.

Alex Sampirisi took some back from Kozieja after Sampirisi defended the big blind against Kozieja's open from the hijack to 240,000.

The players saw a K♣2♦6♥ flop and Sampirisi check-jammed to Kozieja's 120,000 bet. Kozieja folded, handing back some chips to Sampirisi.

Steinmetz checked again on the 2♣ turn and Kraous moved all in, covering Steinmetz who had about 1,300,000 behind. Steinmetz opted to fold and Kraous took down a decent pot without showdown.
