Kaufmann Survives on the River

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
David Kaufmann
David Kaufmann

David Kaufmann shipped his stack of 17,000 into the middle from middle position and Roman Gadzhiev called from the cutoff. Roman Nuraev then shoved from the button for his monster stack of around 160,000, and Gadzhiev folded with around 110,000 behind.

David Kaufmann: AQ All in
Roman Nuraev: AK

Kaufmann was in danger of heading to the rail and moved a step closer to elimination on the 94A flop. The J on the turn was close, but not close enough for Kaufmann, who had one last shot at survival. Luckily for Kaufmann, the Q dropped on the river just as he was standing up getting ready to leave, which earned him a triple-up.

Zamani Leaves the Room After Doubling Up Simion

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Martin Zamani
Martin Zamani

On a flop of 1046, the action went bet, raise, shove, and call between Andrei Simion and Martin Zamani with the former at risk for his stack of around 65,000.

Andrei Simion: QQ All in
Martin Zamani: 84

Zamani had flopped a pair plus a flush draw and had a plethora of outs to scoop the pot. However, none of those outs appeared as the K turn and 5 river kept Simion's overpair in the lead, which earned him a double-up.

Despite having around 40,000 chips in his stack, Zamani bolted straight out of his seat with his bag over his shoulder, and headed towards the exit. Perhaps to let off some steam?
