Romanello Good at Showdown

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Roberto Romanello opened to 10,000 under the gun, and Oleg Ustinovich defended the big blind.

On the A82 flop, Ustinovich check-raised to 25,000 versus a bet of 9,000 from Romanello, who made the call.

The 3 rolled off on the turn, and Ustinovich continued with a bet of 35,000, which couldn't shake off Romanello.

The 7 river completed the board, leading to one-card flush possibilities, and Ustinovich slid out a blocker bet of 8,000. Romanello made the quick call.

Ustinovich tabled AQ for top pair aces, but Romanello had 99 for the flush, sending him the pot.
