Uselis Wheels Out Two

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Gediminas Uselis
Gediminas Uselis

Vladimir Malyarchuk tossed in his remaining 190,000 under the gun. Gediminas Uselis then rejammed for 915,000 on the button, after which Andreas Frohli called off his stack of 505,000 in the small blind.

Vladimir Malyarchuk: KK All in
Andreas Frohli: 55 All in
Gediminas Uselis: A9

Both Malyarchuk and Frohli flopped a set on K52, needing Uselis to hit a runner-runner flush or straight if he wanted to scoop the pot. The 4 turn gave him a chance at doing so, and the 3 river completed the miracle.

He knocked out both players, who left the tournament area in disbelief.

Lai Doubles Up, Gets Penalized

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Juan Baraza made it 120,000 to go in early position. Patrick Leonard wanted to call in middle position, but Jun Lai acted out of turn and shoved all in for 710,000 in the hijack.

Leonard already had the chips in his hand and over the line, and the floor ruled that his call and Lai's all in would stand. Baraza then mucked his cards before Leonard called off.

Jun Lai: KQ All in
Patrick Leonard: AQ

It was looking like Lai's time was up, but he rivered a straight on the 77J910 runout to double up instead.

After the hand, Lai was given a four-hand penalty for acting out of turn. Meanwhile, at another table, Roman Kolotiuk was the latest to depart.
