Kuznetsov Applies Pressure

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Nikita Kuznetsov opened to 3,000 from the cutoff, and was faced with a three-bet to 11,500 by Timur Muxamedaminov in the small blind. Kuznetsov called.

On the AQ3 flop, Muxamedaminov continued with a bet of 6,000, and Kuznetsov stuck around for the turn, which came the 9 and was checked through.

On the 8 river, Muxamedaminov checked once more. Kuznetsov fired out a bet of 37,000, almost pot, and his opponent, who had about 65,000 left behind, went deep into the tank.

After about two minutes, he tapped the table and mucked his cards, sending a decent pot to Kuznetsov.

Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

PokerStars Ambassador Sam Grafton moved all in for 18,000 from middle position and was called by Kazuomi Furuse from the button.

Sam Grafton: KJAll in
Kazuomi Furuse: AK

Grafton was dominated and had three immediate outs. The 988 flop was of no help to the Englishman, but the Q turn gave him a straight draw to go along with his jack outs. The 2 completed the board and confirmed Grafton's departure, with Furuse taking in the pot.

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Elie Farah raised to 3,000 from early position and Andrea Dato called on his direct left. Alf Martinsson, on the button, three-bet to 11,000. The blinds got out of the way but Farah and Dato stuck around.

Martinsson continued for 12,000 on the Q65 flop, with Dato being the only caller.

The J turn and 6 river then lengthily checked through to showdown.

Dato turned over 99, which was good enough to take the pot.

Nemeth Closes in on 200,000

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Hakan Tatli was a Day 2 entry but didn't manage to last a full level as his stack was sent over to Andras Nemeth after the two got the chips in.

Hakan Tatli: KQ All in
Andras Nemeth: A10

Tatli fell further behind on the 9A4 flop and was drawing dead by the time the 8 hit the turn. A meaningless 8 landed on the river, which meant Tatli was eliminated and Nemeth closed in on a stack of 200,000.

Ten Haven Left With Crumbs After Doubling Bou Habib

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Duco ten Haven
Duco ten Haven

Walid Bou Habib had raised his button when Duco ten Haven tossed in a three-bet from the small blind. Bou Habib four-bet to 35,500, which Ten Haven called.

Ten Haven check-called Bou Habib's bet of 17,500 on the 10810 flop. Ten Haven checked again on the J turn, after which Bou Habib shoved all in for 75,500.

Ten Haven spent minutes thinking about the situation. Eventually, time was asked for but the dealer did not deem Ten Haven had adequate time yet.

Eventually, Ten Haven called off before a tournament official was needed, leaving himself only 4,500 behind.

Walid Bou Habib: KK All in
Duco ten Haven: 99

Ten Haven needed a nine, seven, or queen to win the pot. However, the river was the 8 instead. The pot of nearly 175 big blinds was shipped to Bou Habib, leaving Ten Haven with just three of them.
