Tsouloftas Takes From Shalamov

Mikhail Shalamov opened to 160,000 from the hijack with A♦J♦ and was called by Oliver Weiss in the small blind with 8♥8♣ and Georgios Tsouloftas in the big blind with A♣4♥.

All three players checked on the K♣4♣6♣ flop and then Shalamov called a 275,000 bet from Tsouloftas on the J♥ turn. Weis folded.

The 7♣ completed the board and Tsouloftas fired 550,000 into the middle with his nut flush.

Shalamov thought better of it and let his hand go — conceding the pot to Tsouloftas.

Damir Zhugralin opened to 160,000 from the button. Oliver Weis and Anton Wigg called from the blinds.

Zhugralin continued for 185,000 on the Q♣9♣6♠ flop before Weis made it 660,000. Wigg J♦9♥ folded to put the action back on Zhugralin, who called.

The A♦ came in on the turn, and Weis slowed down with a check. Zhugralin bet 550,000 and Weis called to swell the pot to 2,980,000.

The 7♣ put three clubs on the board, and Weis checked. Zhugralin, with 2,110,000 behind, used a time bank before moving all in, and Weis quickly called as the bigger stack.

Zhugralin tabled 10♠10♦ but was eliminated on the final table bubble as Weis had 6♣4♣ for the flush.

Andrea Dato opened to 160,000 from under the gun and was called by Andriy Lyubovetskiy in the small blind and Mikhail Shalamov in the big blind for a three-way pot.

Action checked to Dato, who continued for 110,000 on the 5♦7♣K♠ flop. Lyubovetskiy called and Shalamov folded.

Both players checked on the 3♥ turn and then Lyubovetskiy led out for 175,000 after the 3♠ completed the board.

Dato quickly called and Lyubovetskiy showed 8♦8♥. Dato tabled 9♥9♦ for a better two-pair and was sent the pot.

Andriy Lyubovetskiiy limped in from the small blind and Mikhail Shalamov checked his option.

Lyubovetskiy led out for 80,000 on the Q♣4♥2♦ flop and Shalamov called. Both players then checked down the 7♦ turn and 10♦ river as Lyubovetskiy showed J♥4♠ to win the pot with a pair of fours.

The next hand, Shalamov limped in and Andrea Dato checked back. Shalamov bet 80,000 on the Q♠10♠7♠ flop and Dato called.

The turn was the 5♦ and Shalamov bet another 330,000. "You can take it," Dato said, mucking his cards.

"Thank you," Shalamov replied as he raked in the pot.

The Q♦10♥2♣ flop checked through to the 4♠ turn. Tsouloftas led out for 180,000 and was called. Wigg had the checkmark after the 7♥ river. Tsouloftas checked, and Wigg bet 750,000. Tsouloftas mulled over his options before making the correct laydown.
