Martirosian Busts Livshitz

Gabi Livshitz opened to 500 under the gun and was met with a three-bet to 1,800 by Artur Martirosian in the next seat. Livshitz called.

On the 9♥10♥3♣ flop, Livshitz check-called versus a bet of 3,000 from Martirosian.

The 4♦ rolled off on the turn, and Livshitz again check-called a bet of 8,500 from Martirosian.

The 9♠ river completed the board, and Livshitz, who had about 17,000 behind, checked once more. Martirosian reached for chips and slid out a bet of 35,000, putting Livshitz to the test for the rest of his stack early in the tournament.

Livshitz immediately spread out his three time banks in front of the dealer and went deep into thought. Eventually, he flicked in a calling chip and was shown the bad news when Martirosian revealed 3♥3♦ for a set of threes.

Livshitz tapped the table, mucked his hand and gathered his things, departing as the first player to bust the tournament.

Aguero Lays Down Top Pair

The player in middle position raised to 500, Sergio Aguero three-bet to 1,200 from the cutoff and Mounir Tajiou cold four-bet to 3,300. The original raiser folded and Aguero called.

Aguero check-called a bet of 2,100 from Tajiou on the 6♣7♦3♣ flop.

The K♥ turn saw a repeat of the action, this time Tajiou sized up to 9,000.

The Q♥ river saw Aguero check and then fold to a final bullet of 17,000 from Tajiou. Aguero mucked face up, showing K♦J♦ as he did so.

The 9♥8♠10♠ flop checked through to the Q♦ on the turn. Bonomo took the lead for 2,500 and Yan called.

The 4♣ river saw Bonomo bet out again, this time for 7,000. Yan elected to fold.

Andrew Chen raised to 500 from the hijack, receiving a call from Ilya Nikiforov, in the cutoff. Stephen Chidwick, in the big blind, three-bet to 3,000, to which Chen responded with a four-bet to 8,200.

Nikiforov used a time bank before coming in with a five-bet to 17,000. Both opponents snap-folded.

"Did you guys both see my hand?" Chidwick jokingly asked as Nikiforov stacked his chips.

Goryachev Gets Three Streets From Hallay

Viacheslav Goryachev opened to 600 in early position and received a call from Sebastian Gaehl in middle position.

Action folded to Axel Hallay on the button, who produced a three-bet to 2,200. Action back to Goryachev, who was undettered and reached for chips, producing a four-bet to 7,600. After some deliberation, Hallay called.

On the A♦8♠J♠ flop, Goryachev continued with a bet of 5,000, and Hallay called.

The 10♦ rolled off on the turn, and Goryachev continued with precisely the same bet, 5,000, and again Hallay called.

The 9♥ completed the board, and after using a time bank, Goryachev fired out a bet of 15,000.

Hallay, looking pained, took off his headphones and leaned forward to peer at the board, giving his opponent the eye. After he disposed of a time bank, he made the call.

Goryachev showed Q♠Q♥ for the rivered one-card queen-high straight, and Hallay sent his hand into the muck. Hallay sat with his head in his hands for at least 30 seconds while Goryachev raked in the pot.
