Talbot Lets It Go on River but Gets Instant Revenge

There was 5,200 in the middle and the board read Q♥10♦3♣ when Joao Mestre Ferreira check-called a bet of 800 from PokerStars Ambassador Parker Talbot.

On the A♣ turn, Mestre Ferreira again check-called a bet of 2,300 from Talbot.

The river brought the J♠ and this time Ferreira led out with a bet of 5,500, leading to a swift fold from Talbot.

On the very next hand, cards were on their backs and the same players were all-in, with Mestre Ferreira at risk.

Karim Alleg had already opened from under the gun and David Balley three-bet to 6,000 from the big blind. Alleg called.

Alleg called a 5,000 bet from Balley on the 5♣4♥Q♣ flop and Balley then shoved for enough to put Alleg all in for a bit over 20,000 on the K♠ turn. Alleg snap-called and hands were revealed.

Björn Bruns opened from middle position to 1,200 and was reraised by Jakup Breckmann to 3,500 from the cutoff. Mohammed Mennane called in the small blind as did Bruns.

The Q♣9♥9♦ flop was checked around leading to the 8♠ turn. Mennane led out for 5,500 and was called by both Bruns and Breckmann. He led again on the river 7♥ sizing up to 12,000. Bruns made the call and Breckmann folded.

Mennane tabled A♦Q♦ for two pair and Bruns mucked his holding.

Antouard check-called a 3,000 bet from Odeen on the J♥3♦10♥ flop and then both players checked down on the A♠ turn and 5♣ river.

Antouard tabled J♠J♦ for a set of jacks.

"Let me check if I have aces," Odeen said as he looked at his hole cards. He then slid his hand into the muck and Antouard collected the pot.

On the 7♠K♣8♥ flop action was checked through by all players.

The A♣ rolled off on the turn, and Margue put out a bet of 2,500 after the blinds checked to him. Kezzas and Faraut called.

On the 6♥ river, Margue fired out another bet of 6,500, only to be met with a raise from Kezzas to 15,000, leading to swift folds from both his opponents.

Salem Cherrati opened to 1,300 first-to-act and was called by Kiryl Asaulenka on the button. Valentin Oberhauser then squeezed to 5,600 from the small blind and only Cherrati called.

Cherrati called a 4,000 bet from Oberhauser on the 2♦3♠8♦ flop and Oberhauser shoved for 13,400 total after the 7♠ fell on the turn.

Cherrati went deep into the tank, but eventually put calling chips into the middle to put Oberhauser at risk.

Jean Fontaine opened to 1,600 from early position and Iulen Lacunza produced a three-bet 4,500 in the next seat.

Kalidou Sow was next to act, and took quite some time pondering his decision, the whole time being eyed by Lacunza. Sow eventually announced he was all-in and moved his stack of 24,000 into the middle.

Fontaine and Lacunza quickly got out of the way, sending the French star a nice pot preflop.
