River Saves Truong from Elimination

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Michel Molenaar opened to 40,000 from under the gun and was called by Nicolas Maniable from middle position. Nhat Truong and Vladimir Shabalin called from the blinds. Action checked to Maniable, who bet 100,000 on the K82 flop.

Truong made it 325,000 which folded out Shabalin and Molenaar. Maniable went into the tank and jammed for around 825,000. Truong, who was slightly covered, called for his tournament life.

Nhat Truong: KQ
Nicolas Maniable: K10

"Yes!" shouted Truong, who began a premature celebration.

The 10 peeled off on the turn to give Maniable the lead and Truong returned to his seat. He then breathed a sigh of relief as the 3 river gave both players a flush and the pot was chopped.

Cecile Ticherfatine

Cecile Ticherfatine was just seen dragging in a sizeable pot that put her stack at 1,700,000. She briefly recapped the action to PokerNews on how she shot up the counts.

Ticherfatine opened to 40,000 from under the gun and called when Nick Botman made it 90,000 from the button.

Ticherfatine check-called for 80,000 on the A76 flop, which brought in the J turn. She then check-raised to 360,000 over a bet of 120,000 and was called. On the 5 river, Ticherfatine fired out 245,000 and Botman quickly called.

Ticherfatine tabled JJ for a set of jacks, prompting Botman to muck.

Two hands later, she began dragging more chips in her direction after winning a three-handed pot. In a single raised pot on the 10862 board, Ticherfatine bet 60,000 which folded out her two opponents.
