2024 PokerStars EPT Paris
The turn showed Q♠7♦4♥8♥ and Maxime Chilaud checked for Michael Uguccioni to bet 6,300. With the bigger stack of the duo, Chilaud opted to call and then checked again on the 10♠ river.
Uguccioni checked it back this time and Chilaud showed his 9♦9♥ for a pair of nines, which the Italian had beat with the A♥10♦.
Nikita Kuznetsov opened to 1,600 from under the gun and called when defending EPT Paris Main Event champion Razvan Belea jammed for 3,000 on his direct left.
Razvan Belea: A♦Q♣
Nikita Kuznetsov: Q♠J♠
Belea doubled up as Kuznetsov could not connect on the K♦3♠8♦7♥A♥ runout.
The following hand, Samantha Abernathy raised to 1,600 from the cutoff. Lars Tungel and Kuznetsov called from the button and big blind.
The Q♣9♣3♣ flop checked through to the 3♦ turn. Kuznetsov led out for 3,500 and only Abernathy called.
Kuznetsov sized up to 16,000 on the 8♠ river, but snap-folded when Abernathy announced all-in.
Facing a second barrel of 3,100 by Roberto Romanello on the A♠8♣7♠J♣ turn, Ran Shahar moved all in for 8,300. It was not much more to call for Romanello on the button, but he swiftly sent his cards into the muck without asking for any count.
On a completed board of Q♣Q♦9♥4♠10♥ with around 20,000 in the middle, Mark Buckley checked out of the big blind. Nicolas Nabet pushed all in from the button and Buckley went into the tank before he splashed in the last 18,700.
Nabet nodded and flashed his A♣J♠, which Buckley had beat with the K♠Q♥.
"I think you have a nine, not queen," Nabet said in table chat before shipping over the double.
Matteo Cavelier raised to 1,700 from early position and Jerome Zerbib came along from the hijack. Michael Gathy then squeezed to 7,000 from the hijack, which quickly disposed of Cavelier.
Zerbib, however, tanked for a while before putting his stack of just under 30,000 in the middle. A quick fold followed from Gathy, and the pot was shipped Zerbib's way.
Joining the action on the 10♦9♣8♦J♦ turn, Aliaksei Boika bet 2,000 out of the big blind and Antoine Rahal called on the button. The same action repeated on the 10♠ river albeit for 7.000 and Rahal called within a few seconds.
Boika tabled the K♦7♦ for a flush to the king and won the pot, helping himself back above the starting stack.
