Steve O'Dwyer was heads up against Merivan Hassan on a board of 10♣K♦5♦4♠. O'Dwyer checked out of the big blind before Hassan put in a bet of 12,500 into a pot of 14,500.
O'Dwyer put in a call and both players checked the subsequent 7♠ river. O'Dwyer tabled K♠3♥ for top pair and Hassan's cards hit the muck as he could not beat that.
With around 30,000 in the pot, Sam Grafton and Bryan Paris went heads-up in a blind versus blind battle to a flop of 9♠7♦A♠. Both players then checked and the 4♠ fell on the turn.
Grafton led out for 8,000 and Paris called. The river was the 6♦ and Grafton checked over to Paris, who moved all in. Grafton snap-folded with around 25,000 remaining.
"I didn't think you had a spade," Grafton said as Paris collected the pot.
Aleksejs Ponakovs raised from an early position and Luigi D'Alterio then announced all-in out of the small blind and the Latvian high-stakes player called for the last 47,500.

Nothing changed with the 6♠3♥2♥ flop but Ponakovs gained the lead on the A♣ turn. D'Alterio had two outs to deal the final blow but the Q♥ river was not among them.
On a completed board of 10♠8♣6♠2♦Q♦, Viacheslav Buldygin checked and Hugo Machado bet 14,000. Buldygin then check-raised to 34,500 for almost all of his stack, keeping just 1,500 in chips behind.
Machado asked for a count and was in the tank while Bryn Kenney arrived casually in a Japanese jacket, telling Lexy Gavin-Mather he "had a nice breakfast first". Machado called a few seconds later and Buldygin rolled over the Q♠8♠ for two pair, while Machado exposed his Q♣J♣.
The hand left Machado with three blinds and they vanished shortly after. Also featured on the table are Stan Jablonski, Dimitar Danchev, as well as Vlad Darie.
Staring at a completed board of K♥J♥9♠3♥Q♠, Artur Martirosian shoved all in from under the gun. He covered his opponent, Timothy Rutherford in the cutoff, who went into the tank.
Eventually, Rutherford decided to save his 60,000 chips, and the 70,000 chips that were in the pot were shipped to Martirosian.
Daniel Custodio opened to 3,000 from early position and was called by FPS Paris Stade Jean Bouin 2023 champion Lorenzo Arduini in the cutoff, along with PokerStars Pro Ramon Colillas and Christos Argyriadis in the blinds.
The Q♣10♣2♦ flop was checked through by all players.
On the 4♣ turn action was checked to Arduini and he put out a bet of 6,500. Colillas folded but Custodio and Argyriadis both called.
The 8♣ river brought one-card flush possibilities and the street was checked through.
Argyriadis turned over Q♠9♥ for top pair queens but Arduini said "I can beat that" and turned over 4♥4♦ for a turned set of fours, which was good enough to send the pot his way.
EPT Prague champion Padraig O'Neill has chipped up to around 170,000 so far on Day 2, but he was a mere spectator this hand as tablemate [Removed:482] raised to 3,000 on the button. Bruno Ribeiro then three-bet to 15,000 in the big blind and Haiche called.
The flop came 8♦8♠9♣ and Ribeiro continued for 8,000. Haiche called and the 2♠ fell on the turn.
Ribeiro then moved all in and Haiche tanked for a minute before calling for his last 36,500. Ribeiro could only show A♠J♥ for ace-high, while Haiche turned over 10♦10♠.
The river was the 6♥ and Haiche's pocket tens held up to earn him the double up.
After some preflop action, Eusebiu Jalba shoved from the cutoff on Yves Hallague in the cutoff, who quickly called.
